honestly for birth control, it’s really up to you! i feel like we as Christians can be so judgemental and harp on people for their decisions when in reality if we were in the same position, we would probs do the same! super happy for you and always do you

hey!! i'm graduated from college and wanted to share my two cents since your audience is mostly high schoolers who haven't been through college yet! I think joining a sorority would be a good idea for you since you know no one in the college and it'll be a good way to make friends! but, be very selective and wary of what sorority to join. they'll all be really friendly and nice at first, and part of it is because you're an influencer and they know they can get exposure from you. so be really aware of their true intentions and trust your gut. take time to get to know each sorority! as for your down time, since you have your own house, you're not around your sorority 24/7 and that's the best way to do it. pick and choose when to see them when you're able to since your main priority is really academics. college you get so much freedom but you also learn self management and balance. college curriculum is no joke. spend 50% of your time/week for school and studying, 30% for your own personal down time/me time, and the other 20% for your social life. since you have trust issues, I would highly suggest to keep your boundaries, such as not inviting friends over to your house until you feel finally ready and trusting of your friends. if you join a sorority, I guarantee 90% of your friends are in the same sorority so you will see them often, but SET YOUR BOUNDARIES! don't get roommates or have your friends as roommates. it will end messy and bad and will ruin your time in college once you get in to that routine of living with them, because you have no idea what your roommates/friends living habits are. if it comes to a time where they need to crash at your place, let them, but don't let them take advantage of you since you have your own home. if you have any more questions about college just lmk!! I hope this helps! also you should try balayage!!! it's such an easier maintenance for your hair!

Even after almost 2 years of not taking birth control I feel like some of the affects have still stayed:( especially the emotionless part. When I feel like I need a good cry I just can’t get it out and it’s the worst feeling ever

as a college student, i know many people that have said that sororities and frats are a lot more work than people think, so if you’re worried about feeling overworked then i would suggest not joining a sorority at least until your second year. but we know that you are always on your grind❤️ so do what you want and feel comfortable with❤️ much love caro❤️

my cousin is in a sorority and there are many positives but also a lot of downs. she is constantly busy, and when she doesn’t have work in school she has work for the sorority. there’s also some drama with friends. but it also is such a great experience and sisterhood. t’s honestly such a personal decision and it’s hard to determine if you should or not, but do what feels right

Hi Caroline! So I have actually joined a sorority this year as a freshman and I hope my input helps! By no means did I think I was a "typical sorority girl" and would have ever imagined myself in this position, but after a lonely and difficult first semester, I decided to go for it and it was the best thing I could have done. During recruitment, I saw the stereotype breaking in front of my eyes and the process was so eye opening. I am still meeting more and more people and although it can be overwhelming and draining at first, it settles down and is such an amazing experience. I have met some genuine, amazing girls who return the energy I put out and who I am so comfortable with already. I am usually a socially anxious person and quite an introvert so I totallyyyy get wanting to recharge and have that time to yourself. You will definitely learn how to balance it and remember to set other priorities first! You'll be surrounded with inspiring and awesome girls (just be yourself and trust the process and you'll come home to the perfect one for you) and I already feel myself getting out of my shell and growing as a person. If you end up not joining a sorority that is totally okay and you'll def make friends by branching out elsewhere, by my advice would be to rush because you can always stop that process, BUT you might end up gaining so much from it and finding your home, so there's really not much to lose. Best advice is to genuinely be yourself and don't change to fit into any of them. Whatever you do I hope your freshmen year is awesome!! Remember, stepping out of your comfort zone will get you very far (something I had to learn the hard way lol). Love your vids and your personality!

Caro I say for freshman year of college really take time to put focus to school and career goals. As a sorority girl myself it is very challenging balancing the best of both worlds and is a little chaotic for freshmen girls (I'm currently a freshmen and struggling with balancing the social of Kappa and school). I recommend the first year to ride the wave of discovering true friends and the major classes to start a ground base for your university years💓

I really love how open you were in this video. I wanna let you know that as a Christian, I am against birth control but that doesn't mean I'm against people who use it. I feel like a lot of the time, girls are struggling with cramps, acne, irregular periods and the first thing a doctor says is birth control and I think women need a better influence that there are SO MANY MORE OPTIONS to help with your specific problems. Going on birth control, everything comes back to you at once and it's a lot to handle. I love your channel so much and you're such an inspiration for women 💕

Girlll youre graduating 2 days before my birthday idek why but it makes me so happy its going to be a happy week

I’ve been on birth control since I turned 14. So it’s been 7 year now. The first couple years I was on a birth control that gave me a period every 3 months. The past 4 years I’ve been on a continuous birth control. So basically I skip the last week in every pack. My doctors decided it was best to not have a period at all because mine were so painful it put me in the hospital a couple of time. Mine were also 3 weeks long and had an extremely heavy flow that caused me to become anemic and faint. The doctors had no idea what was causing them to be so bad they thought endometriosis but could only be sure with exploratory surgery. Now I’m 21 and have been talking to my doctor about the repercussions of being on it the long. Some of my concerns are that long term birth control use has been linked to infertility and cancers. I’m also concerned because instead of figuring out what was causing the horrid periods we just decided not to deal with and investigate. If it is endometriosis that could cause fertility issues. So in the next couple of weeks we are going to do some testing to determine if I’m fertile and what is causing the problematic periods. I wish I could go off my birth control. I tried for a couple of weeks and I was the best I’ve ever felt since starting birth control. However it didn’t last once I got my period again and all the pain started.

as someone who went to college all the way across the country, finding genuine friends will happen. all I can say is don't be afraid to be adventurous, and try new things that may be out of character for you, because you may discover a love for things you never knew existed. and also for the whole sorority thing and greek life, I would say that if you have a need for down time, I would do a lot of research (like going to their information meetings) or talk to a lot of people in the sororities you're interested in because many of them are very time consuming and require a lot of dedication especially in the first year.

joining a sorority was the best decision i ever made! it’s an amazing way to meet tons and tons of people and i actually made some of the most genuine relationships ever and i know my sorority sisters will be in my life forever. would definitely recommend it

Definitely try joining a sorority! I had always wanted to but for the same reasons as you was hesitant. But I wouldn’t change my choice of joining a sorority!
