This was seriously peak Starcraft 2. This was the absolute best way to start off the release of an expansion. Beginning of HoTS and 2013 in general, was easily the best year of starcraft for me personally. I'll always remember that time in my life.

That was the most aggressively intelligent 10-pool ever. And THANK YOU Day[9] & djWheat for having the game sense to understand the Ebay block and the oratory skill to amp up just HOW IMPORTANT that was. Life's expansion could have been a minute earlier... so incredibly smart on Flash's part. I'm in absolute awe of the game sense / decision-making / understanding of the game you can SEE in a game between Flash & Life. DE-FENSE... DE-FENSE... DE-FENSE..

XD He totally does. He looks like he is baked but is trying to keep it together at the beginning of the game. Then he looks half dazed and relaxing in his chair most of the game.

life's control with his lings is impeccable, never lets up, gets great surrounds, and his eventual transition into nonstop harassing mutas just tears the opponent apart slowly, so effing good

What a fantastic tournament, the Semifinals alone were incredible with The Boss Toss MC and Innovation getting knocked out and this Finals is even better. I love this game XD

Because they are the best Star craft 2 players. Just take a good look at their mirco and macro control versus other countries. They've put an absolute amount of time and discipline to be the best in SC2. Their placement on the MLG circuit shows where they stand.

these 2 are so smart, the improvisation, multiple strategies going on at once...the competitors are geniuses in their own right, was hoping for a diverse championship...but there is always next year

how can anyone not love Day[9]? by far my absolute favorite starcraft analyst/caster, with such an awesome personality as well! I love his dailies too. no one has made me laugh harder or taught me more in the starcraft community. his brother tasteless is absolutely great too, it must run in the family. :)

Flash made 2 obvious mistakes: 1) not using the Firebats once the ling/bling attacks came & 2) relying so much on mines, whose AI was simply atrocious this entire series; I feel like the mines AI is what lost Flash at least 2 games.

when zerg makes buildings the drone is used and the supply frees up, so he starts to buildings to free up 2 supply, and after he makes 2 more drones he cancels the buildings and regains the drones, ending up with more drones than he has supply

soldiers are supposed to follow orders. The orders coming from the Birds eye view commanders watching from space... FYI football players are too brain damaged to read a full sentence without stuttering lol I agree with Jeronimo that whole comparison is lazy..

I'd say only grandmaster players have the knowledge to call something imbalanced, because someone in wood league could say an army of marines needs to be nerfed. Maybe you're grandmaster, I don't know, but I only hear how weak zerg is.

Balance issues are so minor that they only affect the top level of play anyways. It's true people claim zerg to be the weakest, and that's obviously not true because guess who won the tournament. I think the old zerg tactic of choosing a two-unit combination for every stage of the game is what was holding people back.

ya but muta harass is so buffed its equalled out. Terran has to mech or play aggressively with medivacs constantly which is impossible multitasking

Thors deal with Mutas and Ultras. I was fairly sure that a normal bioball (maybe heavier on Marauders, cause lets be honest, you don't need many Marines for Mutas) beat Ultras. If they're building a large enough amount of Mutas AND Ultras to be too problematic to handle both, then the game was lost long ago for the amount of gas it'd require.

life basically got 2 extra drones out b4 overlord He made 2 extractors when he was caped at 10 supply with 130 minerals. Made two drones. then canceled the 2 extractors.

Well, I'm not sure where you're from, but access to good English education tends to be much more restricted in Asian countries. This stems partially from the Asian approach to education, partially from the high demand for English, and partially from the large difference in pronunciation between the languages. The aggregate result is that while most students get English instruction all through grade school, they learn reading and writing almost exclusively and they can hardly speak or listen.

flash would have lost against any race because life had map control and was ahead in eco. "Imba" is usually a bronze reflex blaming the game balance rather than own basic errors and wrong decisions.
