So great of BirdTricks to send all those gifts❤ I think you picked a good spot for the new aviary. People will be able to appreciate them and vice versa. I stopped drinking completely 20 years ago for health reasons. I think it has helped me. Mikey you and RJ feel like family to me. I am grateful when you put out the vlogs. Thank you 🌹for being here 🥰
I would love to see a Filipino, German, Japanese, and Icelandic craftsman come together to see what they could create furniture wise! I bet it would be so inspired! I definitely love Mikey's outdoor furniture..especially the pod looking chair! And how fitting itt the weaving when he is starting to keep a weaver colony again! I love how simplistic yet beautiful and creative it is and the colors. It's like a post modern vibe, yet also has a traditional feel to it. Or I dunno what I'm talking about. 🤷🏼♀️😅 but I like it! 😂
I have had depression most of my life and my closest friends as well. Your level of joy and happiness is enviable. If only they could bottle up what's inside of you and sell it, People would be jumping to get it! God bless you and yours. John 3:16 😇❤
Wild that I’ve been following ants Canada for over 5 years. I didn’t realize it’s been that long. I found this channel a while back and naturally had to follow
I really love you both... Mikey and RJ!!! So domesticated, meaning you're promoting Pinoy products! Go...go...go... buy local products and you're helping our Pinoy artists and being PROUD of our culture.
Please vlog again about parrot care and routine. We recently got 2 cockatiel chicks and we hand feed them just like Ligaya! Oh we miss those vlogs! We got inspired by you and got into the hobby. Looove your aviary. It's the dream!
Conure owner here from Helsinki Finland. Hi! Just a little tip before you start the build; I recommend that you don’t mix adult Pyrrhuras. I’ve had two species for 9 + years and I still have separated flight times for them - because intense fighting. They share a cage wall and for a year there has been no blood after fighting through bars but I can’t imagine letting them out from their cages at the same time. Two of my birds have lost their mates so I have one male Jenday (age 19) 2 pyrrhura lepida brothers (age 13) and female p. frontalis, 8. She was 5,5 months when she came and even with the male frontalis I had to keep them separated for first 8 months before we started to keep them out at the same time. So I really would think twice at planning “small bird aviary” for several pyrrhura species. My friends GC tried to attack African grey (she took care of for 3 days) so many times that they had to put the poor grey to the bedroom and close the doors so the tiny green cheek would not go and get hurt.
I have the jenday and the maroon bellied out of the cage at the same time without any problems so propably calmer aratinga species could work with green cheeks. My jenday is afraid of the feisty maroon bellied girl but because he is so nice there is no danger of fighting. Every time the pyrrhuras fight the older and calmer jenday tries to order them to stop by screaming.
I haven't been keeping up with this but I'm so glad to be back into watching this channel regularly it makes me feel so calm and excited at the same time
😂 I dunno about u til christmas, but perhaps the til the end of July! Didn't you see the toys he put out by around 20 mins? 1.5 were already destroyed! They were having a good time! And by 23mins they were working in the third!
I'm excited about the new aviary project. With your creativity with your ant setups, I can imagine some epic arrangements. I love the potential location at the edge of the two lots. I wonder, would it be possible to put a gate in that part of the wall going around the property, that way you could get to the aviary more easily.
I am so glad to see that you guys are doing well and the home is so beautiful and the life in and around your home is so vibrant and active! It's so lovely!
YAY, another vlog! Hmmmm… still letting the new entry vid settle in… ;). I love those new lounge chairs!! Very cool!! You can spay a cat between 5 and 7 weeks after giving birth (we grew up with cats, my Mom loved them). Also, even if she is pregnant, you can choose to spay and end the pregnancy (don’t kill the messenger, just passing along facts). I love all the planters and such. I saw one a bit ago that was 6 feet tall and even bigger around, it was gorgeous!!! I don’t know where they got it but, I’m searching for it… :) I love that Bird Trix sent along some stuff… that is amazingly cool!!! They’ve been such a great part of your bird journey. How cool would it be if they could visit the Farm House (aka, the Kenneth Cobonpue Cavite Showroom, LOL). I’d love to see their reaction to your Aviary. I wonder how the birds will like the outdoor aviary… seems like they’re very bonded to you inside. OMG, they’re totally digging into the wood, wow… winged destruction… LOL. SO cool, they flock to you when you’re on the roof. That’s just plain awesome. LOL, funny how we change as we get older… I almost never have an alcoholic beverage any more. I find it’s so much cheaper and even easier to just get through the day. I’d rather have a piece of chocolate cake (or something like that) rather than a drink. I would enjoy Chocolate Truffles with a nice glass of Port Wine every now a then but… Soda Water with Lime or Diet Coke are my Go-To Beverages these days. Thanks for another great vlog! It was great to hang out with ya’ll… take care, be safe and I’ll see ‘ya next time.
Use the same black grey steel beams in the wall extended up, and any steel or netting paint black, it becomes invisible vs silver metal that it is not! Btw love your style, the game of thrones-esque bench makes the seating area more intimate, makes it a room. I like the side open you opened first, not necessarily the second as you said, but the first allows you to enjoy your surroundings. Gorgeous
You should grow trees and bamboo in pots on your land. Bamboo very fast growing. It would reduce your costs of buying trees and plants. Love 💕 the birds!! Maybe add perching up at the top of your aviary. You look amazing so if you have to give up drinking it is worth it. Do what makes you happy and feel good about yourself. Alcohol is not good in excess for sure. Really not more than one a day.
Will you miss having quick access to the birds when they get their new aviary? Maybe you can fill this aviary with canaries and finches? You could fill it with trees and plants again. They don’t chew like parrots. There are so many colors of canary you can get. Check out the colorbred, they are one of my favs. And goudian finches, they come in every color like a parrot. ❤️
I suggest that make the aviary a jungle theme aviary and add more birds and other animals that can live inside a aviary jungle type theme like u put some waterfalls or something like you did on your ants terrarium
Yes, that's my goal! I want to jungle up the space a bit more and put my terrarium-scaping skills to use! I have thought about also releasing some smaller amphibians and reptiles into the space, as well. We'll see.
Never ever drank to get DRUNK, Mikey! Always while eating pizza, or spicy or fatty dishes and the like. No regrets here. 👍🏻 Dunno how it feels to get really drunk, but from I hear, it's NOT FUN nor funny!! ... So, yeah, Mikey, know your limits. Sangria 🍷or better yet, TUBA are always good subs!! lol 😂 😊
I spent my fourth of July with my awesome Filipino family.....fun mix, celebrating American Independence in a British Pub in Makati! True culture blending. Alas, the next day I had to head back to the US after an awesome month of Family Time. Family Time is the best time, as you know for sure!
Mikey, what if you put a stick up on the 3rd level so they can perch on something when they fly up. you can put it at the corner maybe, between 2 perpendicular sides.
I think Melody might be pregnant again. Like the other person said, get her spayed as soon as possible. If she gives birth and is nursing the kittens, then you wait for five weeks, but if the kittens were all dead I think you could have had it done right away.
I have two conuers living together! In Manila, how many parrots are there?? Are they imported from? or are they born there as natural parrots there?? hi from Korea.
If what you suspect about Melody possibly carrying kittens again were true, the scenario where her kittens got killed by a male cat might become more plausible, if the male cat killed the kittens to bring Melody back into heat again so he can have a turn at breeding, now what his rival's progeny have been eliminated. Melody having a rounder belly might just be because she is receiving more nutritious food after you guys took her in though, so hopefully she isn't carrying any kittens so you can get her spayed asap. I think the location of the future aviary is the perfect one, since the birds can still see you when you are in the pool, and any guests can still see them without going to the side lot; maybe design the area that is visible from the pool to become an area where the birds can be trained to perch whenever there are people by the pool or the stairs. Looking forward to the new aviary projects; I reckon it will be something like the Macaw Aviary and the walk-through Dome Aviary of Cebu Safari.
Hello. If the kittens were beheaded, my guess is that Melody sensed that her kittens were weak and unlikely to survive. Cats will usually abandon and in, some cases, "recycle" weak kittens. The latter is particularly true for feral or stray cats which live in challenging environments with limited resources.
Hi Mikey. I’ve mentioned many times I have the African Grey that has lived to be 38!years old. I had him since he was 6months old Sadly he passed away last month and as it is with birds it was quick and with little warning. The vet really couldn’t do much. He is very much missed by the family. 😢holding off getting another since I’m in my 70’s!
It is important to keep a nursing mother away from other adult cats/dogs of the opposite sex in order to prevent tragedy. One can spay a mother as soon as the kittens or pups are weaned, (5 to 6 weeks for kittens and 4 to 5 weeks for puppies) and because of the risk of pregnancy this should be done.
On your Avery idea why don’t you just plant some climbing flowering plant Do not only shaded, but to give you something pretty to look at just my two cents many blessings from North Texas❤
Mikey,it use to take me 3 days to get rid of a hangover, right now it’s been over 20 years since I drank because I was sick and tired of waking up sick and tired, so ur body will tell u and it’s up to u to listen and the place looks great 👍🇨🇦
Hi mikey and RJ.. your home is soooo beautiful! I love your pool... i just notice that you do not have garage for your vehicle... and hopefully for the vehicle of your friends/guest. Where are you planning to place it?
I worked on July 4th lol… but I’m blessed to work from home i get to spend time with my family while working and celebrating our independence … And thank you for always starting my day with your Blog..
What if you got a lot of wood pieces to put through out the aviary up in the top more and put the song birds outside? I don’t think you’d be able to go in to the aviary as much with the song birds they’ll fly out. Also for the outside aviary have you considered having to doors so they won’t escape when you open it up outside?
Bird Tricks toys are awesome! I have been subscribed to their tiny toy box for close to 2 years! My birds go crazy when I unbox a new set of toys!! Enjoyed this video so much!! I am so envious of your indoor aviary! It's AMAZING!
Hello! We do have adopted stray cats as well… Keeps the rodents away! Plus cats are awesome! I might be mistaken, but it looks like Melody is pregnant again… See, they are like lionesses… Female cats stay in a place where there is plenty of food source. Then male cats, they compete who can mate with that female cat to ensure that their offspring is well fed. Basically, survival of genes, etc… So it is possible that another male cat killed her litter (from another father) so he can impregnate Melody and have his genes passed on.
This dude must be a millionaire. The house and pool etcc... i would expect people who has 10m+ subscribers and daily million views of videos to get this
Those chairs are soooo nice. But an Aviary is just what a great home needs. Again those chairs, just so nice. Now i only want song birds. But i really want an aviary too.
Hi Mikey...meron kaming mother cat 2mos old na yong mga baby nya tsaka namin pina-spay. Tapos, kapag pag opera ng doctor may laman ang tyan mapilitan silang iabort.
It will look very nice where you suggested. I can’t wait to see the inside aviary full and lush again. It’s so beautiful. If I owned and indoor aviary, I would put a few chickens in there ☺️
The sun is fierce in the homeland! Every time I visit, I get sun burn! But when I was little, in the summertime, we always go to the beach from sunrise to sunset! We have great picnics, swimming and lots of eating! Such memories growing up!❤❤❤
How wonderful, I really loved it! Congratulations on the beautiful aviary, I'm sure your birds will feel very comfortable in it. Could you tell me approximately the dimensions of it? I apologize because I do not speak English and the translation may be bad, thank you in advance.
Amazing furniture design made by our very own filipino designer is so amazing, RJ has a great taste of fashion design .looks so goood on the side .also nice palm tress yout house is absolutely stunning.. it sorrounded by positivety and good vibes.
Good morning Mikey. It was nice to see your blog this morning. I was just relaxing looking at it. Thanks. It’s always nice to see you share your house and animals and birds. Idk it’s just calming, and entertaining. Keep on keep on 😂. Say hello to RJ 🫶🏽🫶🏽
Greetings guys, regarding the birds and wood, I've heard of other bird owners who give their flocks two-by-fours to chew on. Of course you would have to be sure that the wood was bird safe. If they like the cubes of wood you could get wood and.cut that yourself. Same thing for the corn. You could get dry corn and hang it for them. Just an idea. I am so happy that you are making such good use of the pool even when you do not have guests. I don't drink myself because I think it all tastes yucky. But as for you Mikey, if you notice a reaction after drinking, I would kick the booze. Life is too short to even have an occasional down day because of it. Blessings to all folks and critters at The farmhouse, Gloria 🐂
Imagine if your aviary cage extends to the other areas of your rooftop. Marcelo and the others can fly horizontally. They'll still fly down to the middle of the house as long as the food is there 😊
I was just thinking this! We will eventually build a roof and if it is all enclosed in with a big square mesh top over the aviary part so rain can still fall in, the birds can fly all around the roof deck if we caged it all in. I doubt RJ would agree with this idea, though! Haha!
Hi Mikey, DEFINITELY not a hater, as I’ve enjoyed seeing your home, landscapes, birds, and furnishings. However, would definitely be REFRESHING to see something different aside from your home, landscaping, furnishings and just maybe try doing more outdoor and traveling perhaps and show us more of what Cavite itself has to offer. Perhaps the locals, places Cavite is known for, just ANYTHING else would be so REFRESHING and nice. 😊 thank you Mikey 😊 But you have a BEAUTIFUL HOME 😊 I ❤❤❤ the house tour and now that I got to see the finished home, kind of hoping to see other contents? I remembered a while back, you had mentioned doing different things on different days of the week. Like dedicating each day of the week to certain themes? 🫶🏼
You should check with your vet about getting an appointment set up to fix Melody. I have seen stray cats get pregnant while still nursing kittens... They have an amazingly fast heat cycle.
I know it’s private but for me watching since day 1 the mabuhay squad farm house I believe it’s not only me was dying to see what is guard house and server rooms looks like inside? I’m sure you guys treated them fairly. Right? #solidmabuhaysquad #ligaya
What about making a butterfly garden and or a hummingbird aviary? I’m not even sure if you can raise hummingbirds in an aviary… But it’s such a cool, beautiful, unique idea. If anybody could pull it off, I believe it would be you!
I can understand how expensive it must be to maintain the avery. And after watching you for so many years I have no doubt you will do whatever you can to make sure the birds live they're best life, but I will miss seeing them in your home.
No, they are blue-naped parrots (Tanygnathus lucionensis), a species native to the Philippines, and not South America like Amazon parrots. They are somewhat related to ecclectus. 🥰
@@MikeyBustosVLOGS ooohhh, have not seen it here in SG, I have 2 crimsons, 1 green cheek, 1 turquoise pineapple green cheek and an Indian ring neck. I love your aviary, I'm very envious. Lovely house too!
