I read the book. He had some bizarre turn and wasn't acting like a normal human being. He was running around naked growling like a wolf. One of his eyeballs was suddenly looking up and the other straight forward. He covered his crotch and screamed for her to get away from him. He was also omitting a weird odor. Along with Carol DaRonch, Molly is one of the only people to see Ted in pure animal state in the wild. Something came over him and he 'changed'. Molly is lucky to be alive. She suggests in the book she has vague memories of him being sexually inappropriate with her, as well as clearly wanting to hurt her badly and make it look like an accident. I think what the incident with the near attack shows is that he was repressing something so powerful that it changed him physically. He knew he couldn't hurt Molly. Dude was a legitimate monster.

Agreed, I would like to know more about how society mistreated them after his conviction implying they should have known while celebrating the police that were alerted and still couldn't figure it out and how they survived and how it all impacted future relationships. Victim impact would be good to know.

Money runs the world. Nobody cares about them. They are interested in Ted. Ted makes the headlines and the money for them so that is what they will continue to do

At the same time watching his behavior could help teach people to see the red flags that could one day save their lives.

What's always stuck with me, is that the very author of the Sherlock Holmes novels helped and even _solved_ a case dealing with dying sheep with some farmer dude. Its a justice of sorts where the criminal faces punishment. But nothing changes for the victims. Lives taken too soon.

Bundy was never insane. Psychopathy is a form of neurodivergence, not a disorder. He was absolutely aware of his actions, he just did not care during. He lacked the empathy, but he was in no way insane.

Saw on my local news that a man had been arrested for attempted kidnapping and only then did it occur to me that I was an intended victim. Two days prior, while sitting in his truck, the same man told me his daughter was having a medical issue a few blocks away, and wanted me to get in and go help. I asked a few questions then advised him to seek medical help. As I turned to leave, he banged his hands on the steering wheel and let out a yell of frustration. Questioning stories, intended to lure victims, are usually extremely frustrating for those masquerading evil behind their facade.

Ava. You should understand the time difference. It was a different era. We had no computers, and many people lived like people in the old west. When I was 14 years old, I drank in bars, and I constantly walked around with a cigarette dangling from my mouth. It was dangerous times too. The mafia was running rapid where I live, and they were even worse than the now days street gangs. People were naive and they didn't pay attention to things like they do now. Technology has at least made people more aware of this type of evil, but on the down side, it has also caused many people to become too paranoid and jump to conclusions.

When I was 7 a man came around the corner and I saw him reach over and open his door, he stopped right in front of me and asked me to close it; I stepped two feet backwards shook my head no and when started to slide across the seat I screamed "Mom" (my mom's workplace was 100 feet away luckily) and he tore out of there. I was able to give a description of him, the truck, and a partial plate. Th cop told my mom she had trained me well and she said I never thought in a small town that this would happen and I never taught her any of this. Some have an extra antenna that can sense when something is unusual and go with that feeling instead of dismissing it.
