Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. This is Australia’s real life Baywatch! Something I love about this show, is there is ZERO tolerance for inappropriate behavior. A single report about someone being uncomfortable (or someone saying something) and the person is gone. No questions.

Coming from a former lifeguard - as long as it is safe to do so (no big injuries, spinals, unconscious, etc), tipping people over is the fastest way to get them off quickly. You have all these people to keep an eye on that might need help at any second. Especially when dealing with multiple people like they were. Not saying they don't care but just the amount of people compared to the numbers of the lifeguards is a factor

i actually envy Maxi so much because from such a young age he alrready knew what he wanted to be. I didnt know what i really wanted to be until i was already on my 30s. I did not have a clear vocation. So to see someone as young as him being so determined is really awesome.

Don't worry it's more common than u think. 😝👍 Also in my 30's and don't know exactly what I want to really work with. Studying to be a nurse for safety. If you are unsure it's alright but don't be stuck thinking, try out some jobs that interest u and get a feel for it.

@@Bellz972 I am 38 and in the same job for 14 years. Started to get bored so I took swimming lessons, now I'm on level 2, one more level and I'm off to open water swimming. I also I enrolled for Caregiving course during my holiday and went to first aid, CPR and AED classes . Then I stumbled upon Bondi Rescue last week. I am thinking...maybe after all this my calling is to be a lifeguard at Bondi Beach 😅🏄🏊

Honestly idk if the bondi crew ever reads these comments but I hope they know that even as an American on the other side of the world who’s never been to Australia I really appreciate and love that the guys make a genuine effort to not only keep people safe from the water but from other threats. They take the reputation of their workplace so seriously and absolutely do not tolerate creeps, aggressors, thieves or anything else that may ruin a beachgoers day. They’re really top notch people who truly love what they do and it shows. Much love from New Jersey where we also have our fair share of tourist beach goers! 🥰

exactly what my daughter is learning in swim class now and I was really impressed. they jump in the water then go onto their backs. I genuinely didn't know that's what you're meant to do

Floating was the first thing we learned as kids. Until we could and 'passed' parents test, we were only allowed in water to our knees. One foot of water... incentive to learn so I could 'swim'!

I physically can't float on my back well enough to keep my head above water in a pool much less an ocean ...my body just won't let me but people need to be taught how to even if their body isn't going to allow it

I jumped off a rock into the sea on holiday, probably around four feet into the sea. The sand was rock hard and I felt a massive jolt through my body. It really hurt, so I laid on a sun bed for thirty minutes. When I tried to move I couldn’t feel my legs. I was terrified. I had to be carried back to our villa, thankfully after a few hours I was back to normal. Massive life lesson.

These crowds really make me angry. Seconds can determine life and death. Why form a crowd like that? What do you get out of obstructing emergency services? So you can tell your family about how you witnessed an emergency and saw someone possibly die? Good that the officers quickly dissolved the crowd.

Normally you should get a note that you were banned from the beach that day, so if it happens more than one time, it should be seen.

Written warnings are also logged to. So it would show if he had a warning for it before. That's how police keep track of everything for a person. U may get a warning the 1st time. But you get caught again and they see you already have a warning, then they may arrest you. Edit. Spelling

The Philippine police also has a similar uniform, but it's usually only worn when they're helping with cleanup drives, clearing operations after storms, exercising, and patrols during summer. Well, I say similar, but ours is more laid back, as it's literally a blue t-shirt with police printed on it lol

if its not done already, i think the boards should have a radio inbuild along with the camera, waterproof speakers work quite well , it would just mean the guys on the borads have guidance and knowledge of what the tower is realying!

People don't realize how strong water is! Those waves are powerful and there is a lot of weight behind them when they slam against a person. I think that the hotels should print out a letter for each room explaining the series dangers of swimming in the ocean with advice for staying safe while swimming in it. Giving tips to stay aware and safe so their guests can enjoy the ocean and be safe. So many people coming to swim in the ocean who have never been in the ocean and have no ideas how dangerous it can be if you're not aware. Also, they should put information about keeping a constant eye on your children at all times. Make sure they print it in Asian and English like in America everything is in English and Mexican language. This will not detour the tourists from coming, but will help them to safely visit the beach !!

It's sad how everyone wants to crowd around when someone is hurt like it's a circus freakshow. I was a 10 year old when my dad was promoted to a divisional commander with the fire service. He was on call 24/7 and had to go to every motor vehicle accident where people had to be cut out. As a result when mum was away helped her mum I had to go to accidents with him. As a kid I saw some horrible stuff. Dad parked his patrol car as far away as was practically possible to protect me but I could still see some of what was going on. I saw him with blood up his sleeves. It wasn't nice and I have no desire to see it again unless absolutely necessary. I would try to help if the professionals had arrived yet I would but I'm in no hurry to be an onlooker.

I'm surprised that with the number of people on that beach that they don't have a police stand & paramedic stand on the beach. It would save valueable response time. I realise it costs money but surely there is enough to warrant it?
