Bondi Rescue follows the work of the elite professional Lifeguards who patrol Australia’s busiest beach. This is Australia’s real life Baywatch! One thing that gets me after having watched Bondi Rescue for few months is the fact so few lifeguards are on any given shift for so many thousands of people. Amazing work all of you do, especially being so outnumbered!

I just want to say thank you for saving so many lives, lifeguards are way too underrated. Imagine trying to watch that many people at one end and knowing that your responsible for some people’s lives

I love the lifeguards at bondi my daughter was assaulted when she was smacked in the face with a surfboard and while my daughter and I waited for the ambulance and police the guys were just so sweet and kept my daughter to he calm and relaxed

When I was his age the kid who drove into a sandbar . I lived in Corpus Christ Tx. My friends and I always went to South Padre Island.. we would shotgun a 6 pack a piece as fast as we could then run from the sand dunes with our surf boards as fast as we could and paddle out wat out and by the time we catch a wave the buz would kick in . Was crazy memories . But one day we went and met a group of friend and we was swimming and a friend of mine ran and drove in to a wave , it was about knee deep driving his head into the sand bottom he came up stiff wr pulled him to shore and from that day forward he was paralyzed from the neck down . That was a sad day ..

It's probably because of the order the amulances were called. If the first crew was briefed about a dislocated shoulder in the lifeguard tower, then suddenly they are moved to a possibly fractured spine on the beach, that changes things from a "normal response" to a situation where they have to switch quickly. Also it may create confusion when an ambulance arrives at the hospital with a different patient than originally anticipated. Certainly that can be done but it's not like the boy was rapidly dying and he didn't breathe in water. The most important part was that he got to the hospital in a controlled manner, which was what he got. I'm not a paramedic, just making some educated guesses because there are processes and breaking them can have knock-on effects.

@@BaerentoeterLP could also be that because the incidents happened in quick succession, the ambulances were barely minutes apart. Another reason could be because Eli (dislocation) was reacting strongly to the green whistle. The threat of overdose is a cause for concern. And well, it could very well be both

That's unbelievable and that a guy decides to show the world how small a certain part of the body. So much for bullies growing up and learning about their actions towards other people. I've been unlucky enough to be under the actions of a few bullies in my school life. It affects you throughout the your life and I still bare the scars mentally with the actions of these bullies. So if any of you unfortunately have a son or a friend that is a bully then remind that his actions have a lasting effect.

Seems like weird triaging that the first ambo crew didn't get diverted to the child spinal, when the dislocation is an adult and is not life threatening/urgent except for pain which he had relief for (ambos would have only given green whistle anyway). They both need immediate treatment but a messed up shoulder is better than a messed up spine

It's probably because the guy having the green whistle had such a strong reaction and feel unconscious and the paramedic probably did a quick triage there and decided the unconscious dislocation needed closer montering than the conscious spinal who was already been monitored with lifeguards and other ambo on the way

Yeah, I would add that if you're in that position, if you try to resuscitate, the patient might die. If you don't they almost definitely will. If CPR or defibbing is required, the patient is sort of dead already. If they live to complain about your choices, you did something right.

Rescue Bondi already addressed this, Yes next season will pick up again, Covid kind a shot things for two seasons, Hoppo is retired/ing and so new filming is coming with a new head life guard. Not sure who moved up, People around Bondi must know.
