Lifted Jeep Cherokee 'XJ' - (Off-Road) One Take at the FIRM 

Every time I look at something in my XJ and think, "I can't go through that." I can. haha The XJ can do anything you want and more! Love it!

I used to love off-roading when I was younger. With lifted trucks, big tires, and lots of skill we had great adventures. Off-roading is a driving challenge that once mastered is awesome!!

The FIRM truly got it all dont they!

Great video, Matt! A bit disappointed in the comments, which seem to not be so uncommon in the off road world. I'm here because I love all vehicles and what they can do. I love everything from hardcore track cars to conquering the outdoors in a beater Jeep to the reliability and cold appliance of cars like the Camry. I like seeing a thing with a purpose, and it getting that thing done well. And I'd wager most of your fan base is with me in that respect. I know there are certainly challenges in creating off road videos like this, which are only worsened by the critical comments left on said videos. As I said, I, and I'm sure many of your fans, really appreciate the content displaying vehicles of all types doing what they were designed to do. That said, if you don't enjoy certain videos, fuck it. It's your channel. Keep up the great work. :)

That still looks fun to me and I have been trailing out in Moab in a 60K+ Jeep. Do a video on something like that and people will still say it wasn't "hardcore" enough, when most likely they don't offroad either. It doesn't have to be difficult to have a good time!

I've never been one for four wheeling, but that looked like a whole lotta fun.

From a guy that has a purpose built rock bouncer and a trail Jeep this stuff was a joke haha. But with that said I guess it would be a good learning experience for someone new to the idea of going off assfault.

Even in the last video, the instructor doesn't have much of a sense of humour, but he gives good instruction.

Matt reminds me of a guy I work with. The guy I work with is extremely careless, clumsy, and stumbly, because of his spinal disease. But you remind me of his attitude towards things he doesn't quite fully appreciate, "like 4x4's". I get the feeling that this guy told you a bunch of things to be wherry/be careful of, and you simply ignored it, and then make the statement: "that doesn't sound right haha" after fucking something up. I guess I would say, have a little more respect for people's vehicles.

@mojostevo you probably aren't an off roster so you probably don't know, but this stuff really is very, very basic. The offroaders commenting here aren't lying... This course doesn't seem to have much to offer. Maybe Florida is too flat? Matt should come to Moab and try some of the stuff here for some real mind-bending fun.

i literally bought a lifted jeep cherokee 2 weeks ago. has modified axles and a lift. only just some light off road. no rock crawling yet.

I have a 2008 4.7l V8 out of a wrecked Dakota, canned it, plus ported and polished the heads. It made 372hp at the flywheel, and I have no idea what to do with the engine. Definitely want to swap it into something. Might just have to ho buy myself a blown Cherokee XJ for $500 and slap that 4.7 in there, get a good lift on it, put some kind of beefy granny in it, weld up a cage, and whoop some asses off road.

it's basically a regular Cherokee sport 6cylider and they do all that with stock everything I no because I've done it in alot worse trail's then that you will be surprised what the jeep Cherokee line will do cause I've like I said done it with all stock market tire's wheel's from the 6cylider sport to the grand Cherokee Laredo, and grand Cherokee Laredo limited addition! & ALSO the special addition jeep grand Cherokee Laredo limited special addition orvis!!!!!! and they all can take anything you can possibly through there way I no first hand and no they weren't my truck's so that's y they got abused and smashed and anything but it was like they wouldn't die I tilll this day will buy the Cherokee line from 93 to 98 after that I have no clue but I'm telling you about those years the motors and transmissions can take anything you do to them!!!!
