He has another video titled "Lowering the Slab", which shows his method and adds another in the comments. Move the tube to under the corner-pocket cutouts so there's room for four fingers positioned as before. Lift the slab and bump the tube out toward the lifter with the pinkie fingers. He also liked the commenter's suggestion of hooking a bungee cord in the tube's end, sidling up to the lifting position, pulling the cord around his body, and hooking it to the other end. When the slab rises high enough the tube snaps off the table and up against the lifter so the slab can be lowered. This is one of many ways that one-piece slates are so much better for maintenance and longevity.
