It’s so sad that Chamberlain‘s newer openers are having so much problems you know my advice for you is if you were sent to replace a chamberlain opener that’s having those problems if you can try to test the openers to see which parts are good and then take the good parts out of them and save them just in case you need them safe for a sample if the two Chamberlain openers in your aunt and Uncle ‘s garage ever breaks down then you can like get it back up and running pretty quick So you don’t have to call Chamberlain and get the parts from them because that may take a while and likely with all them Chamberlain openers that you’ve gotten with problems. Does a good chance those parts may be good like motors circuit boards batteries, cases, travel, modules, rails, trolleys, and door arms etc. just some good advice I got
I do part out openers from time to time and it's saved me a few times when I've needed a part. Most recently I pulled an opener from the dumpster that needed a travel module and a power cord both parts I had.
I’m slowly heading away from liftmaster all together. I’m starting to use Linear and Marantec 370 the most. Marantec’s 270 is a good basic opener it’s just too slow I find, but the 370 is great.
I've heard good things about the marantec 380 but never tried one and my Linear has been great ever since I installed it. Plus both are way quieter than the DC liftmasters are.
@@TBHD724 Linear just released a new motor called the 661. It’s a 1/3HP DC BBU motor with a single LED light and has a battery backup that can let you set the limits on new construction without power which I think is a game changer, but I worry about how weak it is. My rep came and met with me last week and they seem to be heading in the right direction. Marantecs are just super quiet and user friendly for the homeowner.
@@TBHD724 90% of my builders all do insulated doors though and if the do non insulated it’s always 9-10’ high or 16-18’ wide and of course everything is windload here. and the 661 only works up to 8’
