I was lucky enough to get the privilege to see her sing live in Chiang Mai Thailand. She was pretty good! But somehow she placed 3rd in the competition. On the other hand, this remix is pretty good. You should make more lug txaj remixes. Would love to listen to more of them.
This is awesome. From my terrible Green Hmong the lady is singing about a boy who dreams for his gf. It's the only way he can see her since they can't be together. They love each other but can't be together. He then begs the girl's parents for her and they finally relent saying he has to give them 4 pieces of money. He is able to gather the money and gives it to them and they can finally marry and be together.
My understanding of the end is different than yours. I understand it as he didn't reach his goal saving money to marry her. She left and and gotten marry wishing they be together in the next life time. Regardless it was a masterpiece song.

She was surprised that I listen or even like them. I said of course. I rmbred growing up my mom sang it all the time. My grandma had told me my mom was good when she was a teen too. My mom said she got a few recordings given back to her when she recorded and gave them to relatives at their request because they were coming to USA back the the late 70s. If I can get them converted I would love to see if you can do a remix with it...
