Thanks for watching another episode. had trouble over the last fortnight finding any mangrove jacks so picked up the light spin gear and decided to try and get my mojo back on anything that swims. turned out to be my best jack session all summer.

Hey mate if you are looking for a challenge go off kirra beach infront of the surf club couple hundred behind the breakers is the kirra reef. Get some rat kings, mackerel, cobia and heaps of other goodies.. Early morning being the best! Not very deep so surface lures are alot of fun there.

If you wanna make your boat more buoyant inside the pvc put some spray expanding foam. if you do this you can move around on it without certain areas dipping down in the water

going to give you a quick physics lesson. spraying expanding foam does not increase the volume of the pipes. which is what gives it the buoyancy.

I was using heavy jig heads and light line so i tend to set it so it clicks once on a jig. i think it saved me twice having it that loose. thats just how i fish light. you can always tighten it when the fish is out of cover. but both first two fish had stripped the leader so played it safe cheer mate:)

I been watching you cast with the spinning reel and i know you said you are more accurate with the bait caster, but have you considered swapping the retrieve arm to the left. You cast right handed on the bait caster and i know swapping to the left hand retrieve on spinning reels made a huge difference to my accuracy on casts.

it was just because i had only used baitcaster. after casting spin reels for the last couple of months i can now cast accurate with both types. i have problems with my wrists from years of kayaking so can't do the little wrist flick casts with my right or left hand. cheers for the comment
