I’ve never used cornflour before in my shortbread I use rice flour and if you’re searching for a good old crunch I sprinkle it either sanding sugar or Demerara sugar if you’re interested just google McKenzie shortbread recipe enjoy ❤

i just tried these biscuits today and they were amaaazing, added some pink gel colouring and made them in various shapes, they held pretty well in the oven, and taste really light and buttery, my whole family loves them and already ate half the batch !! thank you aya for ANOTHER great recipe ! you are a true gem, wish u a beautiful daay ❤🌼🌼

So I’ve been starting to make tarts and I found a tart recipe online. After cooking it, it tastes just like shortbread cookies. Haha well, it paired well with the cream and fruits I added. I will try your tart recipe though. Have you ever molded shortbread tarts before? Curious if you’ve tried
I made tarts before with similar to shortbread cookie recipes - but tarts spead more, slide down more, or simply don't hold the shape well. So I hear you! You'll need to blind-bake with them.
The flour should scatter everywhere more easily, so mix at very low speed and stop frequently. You can also mix it with a spatula, it takes some time but it works better if you don't want the dough to contain lots of air inside.
