I would humbly submit that laughter with Margarida is really the best medicine for you, Peter.

That ending was heartbreaking. I get the need for a break, this is essentially your job, and your life so you're always under the microscope. When they say if you do what you love you'll never work a day in your life, that's bullshit. Anytime you have to do something in order to survive it grinds you down. A lot of channels cut back production for a while, but part of the problem is because they get their production quality up so high that it takes days to edit, and they do that because they believe that's what the people want to see. In reality you had viewers when you were using a cell phone and posting updates. If you drop your quality (all jokes aside) and post what you shoot the viewers will stay because they're here for the story, you're the story. Plus it keeps your patreon numbers up. Spend less time editing, and be content with the lower quality for a break.

Got hit by lightning, all the electronics fried, blew a hole in the boat, patched the hole at night with sharks swimming around, sailing it alone while trying to not sink, no engine. Gets it back to a marina and up on the hard. Still alive, didn’t sink, successful mission. Now go get the relationship patched up. Great job. Lots, if not most people would have pulled the plug and got in the dinghy. You need to sell the movie rights. Rest, you’ve earned it. BTW, excellent damage control skills. A flipping plastic shopping bag. You should teach Navy damage control. I look forward to the continuing story, keep it real.

I’m first generation American. My father, a native Glaswegian used to have his own spin on common quotes. For instance, instead of “It’s always darkest before the dawn”, he would often say “It’s always darkest before complete, f*ck^Ing disaster”. He was almost always right. But what I learned from him is that in cynicism, there is humor. And in humor, there is hope. Humor, to your point, Peter, is how we all make it through this life. 2020 has been a rough year one for the history books, you're not alone my friends! The fact you're floating out of it is a MAJOR VICTORY! Congratulations you made it back to safety. I hope you get those grounding issues fixed so yo don’t have this happen again. Yeah, the reason the strike went through the bilge bellows is because that is where the most moisture was accumulated in your boat. The miracle was it did not go through you. Always I’m sure your thankful for that. Enjoyed your self recovery and rescue story. It showed your resilience and self determination of what it means to live of grid in an ocean environment. “You know Freedom and the Pioneering Spirit.” We enjoyed your videos, get rest and recover for your next adventure. The American Boy Scout motto. “Be Prepared.” I hope you let us all know when your on your way to, Tahiti. I’m sure your wife and all of us viewers will enjoy that story. Remember the window to go South is a short one weather wise. I think the Hawaiians sailed to Tahiti in the spring, usually. I believe the first week of March to May. Because of Hurricanes. When your catamaran was under water and you kept saying, no worries I do this and that and refloat her, I was thinking; the guy is mad. But many episodes later i changed my mind. You are a brave superoptimistic guy and I could use some of it. Stay safe and Bonne Chance.

It's a wonder you can even move with balls as big as yours. Amazing resilience and impromptu agility to any and all situations. You know exactly what your doing and are and are not capable of doing at all times. You sir have an impressive ability to multitask a magnitude of things without hesitation. love your videos , excellent real life struggles, we bought our first sailboat and three weeks down the east coast i hit a sand bar and lost the rudder completely with my 4 kidds on board. we got into a marina and the boat is on the hard waiting for insurance to write a check for repairs, our dreams are on hold probably another year. And brother you keep our dreams alive. Never give up. and we'll catch up to you in the pacific. Good luck and cheers, we are praying for you.

Wrap a line around the helm shaft and over to a fairlead, let it trail in your wake so if you fall over you grab the line and hopefully it will turn the boat. I just thought of this idea so maybe when you have crew onboard you can try it.
