Sometimes I think that they chose to turn her into a cat at the end of the first movie, specifically for the purposes of her being part-cat in the sequel, just so Eartha Kitt could channel Catwoman again.

Too be blunt. that's because the original's animation was pretty much direct to video quality. TENG is one of the movies that if you love the humor, you will love the movie, if you don't love the humor you will think it's complete rubbish. The animation and drawings aren't going to impress anyone on their own merits.

Yzma is one of my favorite Disney characters. Not just Villans bur characters period. She is Incredibly voiced both in english and swedish( my native language) where she was actually played by two different actresses . One for the original masterpiece of a movie and another for the sequel and tv show. She is such an amazing creation of Disney animation. RIP the the extraordinary miss Eartha Kitt. Your legacy will live on with this character. Yzma is so funny.

It's rather interesting that when she rips off her purple dress it rips down the middle as she first rips it at the top where her strap was. She was clearly thinking ripping it off to get into her bathing suit was quicker.

you know, it occurs to me that this is a huge step down for Yzma. She want from almost successfully taking over the kingdom after attempted regicide(failed) and had magic potions that WORKED, and she was very ambitions and determined to make sure the king was dead. Here, she's simply a con artist trying to get rich quick, and her potion doesn't even work! Truly this was the darkest moment in Yzma's life.

Not even close. She died in 2008. This movie was released in 2005. Her last movie was And Then Came Love in 2007. Between 2005 and 2008 for tv she was on My Life as a Teenage Robot, The Emperor's New School, and American Dad. She did a live show a month before her death. After her death she had a role on Wonder Pets as Cool Cat and on the Simpsons as herself.

@inspectorllama In the first movie, she had a metric ton of potions that turned their victims into various animals. She was hit with a potion that turned her into a cat, and though what happens between movie one and movie two isn't entirely explained, we can assume the potion had to wear off naturally, so she still has some physical and mental attributes of a cat throughout the second film.
