Yeah this is based on a true story. He gave up his love for rap not sure why he had to choose. Maybe she didn't agree with it or believe or couldn't deal with him rapping more than he spent time with her or the traveling idk. But that's why in Westbrook on a farm he said "he gave up his life for this shit a wife and them kids".

Ay I just want to say... 50% chance this will hit deep 50% im completely wrong but.... I've never noticed a 'dad' in any of these videos, so... iuno, this song just led me to thinkin bout this: I just wanted to say ay if you doin it ... in that sense "on your own" ?
