I follow Lil Nas X on Twitter and I don’t think he slept at all the night before. Plus singing so low in your register is tough when you’re also dancing around cuz it’s hard to get your breath, which you need a lot of for those deep ass notes. He’s really down on himself for this performance and it makes me super sad b/c he’s so fkn talented. Every snippet I’ve heard him drop is as hard a hit as Old Town Road and he’s so young, he’s only gonna get better. Nas if u see this, I know a relationship with fame can feel tenuous at best when it’s plopped at your feet all of a sudden like this, but you got miles to go before you sleep and I hope you know we’re all crazy stoked to take that journey with you
Exactly. Lil Nas has to lower his tone in order to sing the verse. When he sings the hook that is his normal range but in the verse he lowers and deepens his voice. And singing it live is hard as fuck
If he can handle it vocally, he should do those parts an octave up. Travis Scott does it to keep the hype up during shows and it not only does that but it means he doesn’t have to press his throat or sing softer to hit the low notes. Would be a win-win for lil nas x...sure worked for the DJ lol
I had my headphones on and I normally put them on when I'm working and I'm not looking at the videos and I heard this song and I said this is my song it is really catching it hits you and I keep playing it all over again on RU-vid I don't get tired of hearing this song
2:55 this DJ is like ur typical "tf is this guy doin" type of dude... literally no one was cheering, just obnoxious gun shots, screaming and Jamaican air horns blaring for 30 seconds straight lmaoooo
Its funny how a song can bring many races together as one. Even if its only for five minutes. Country/Rap is a new brand of music that may open others eyes.
Poor kid. Might be his first big live performance with Billy Ray there to support the record and the audio on the kids mic is messed up. He also seemed a bit nervous. He didn't sound right without that auto tune Great record tho
they made it a point to show billy the majority of the time on the screen as well... its as if lil nas is the feature now lmao this was hardcore sabotage classic industry tactics.
