Ya know...I literally will go listen to reasonable doubt. This was perfect timing. I was reading about how he owns (or owned) this streaming app Tidal that I use just yesterday. I do have to listen more of his stuff. Will check it out.

Lol Ya know...I have since realized I actually know more (or his older stuff) than I thought and he is totally dope! Someone else had mentioned that he is southern (which I forgot about) which I still feel like sometimes make it hard to understand. (to me anyway) Though he is NEVER just saying stuff. Dudes got bars. He is one of the greatest. He is NOT in the mumble rap category. lol

Jay-z is top 3 top 5 100%. it seems you don't know why so I suggest to check out his first album "reasonable doubt" considered on "illmatic" and "ready to die" tier, one of the best albums ever and if you want a song on it check "Dead presidents" or "d'evils" and other dope tracks on there and Other classic albums too like "the blueprint" "black album" etc... I hope you get to them ; keep on bro, honest opinions and reaction ✌

Maybe you are right. I thought about it and told someone else too...maybe I just haven't listened to him that much for whatever reason. I gotta check him out. He still sounds like this, voice is just deeper and changed with time, I hope you continue down the "Carter" song saga, it just gets better. Also, I feel like Future inspired the mumble rappers tbh lol! Glad you enjoyed this faam!

First verse is sooo damn smooth and good. The punchlines and the worldplay are amazing. It's my favorite Wayne verse, he's really that good with words. Mr Carter is a 10/10. Also i love jay's flow, great feature. The Carter's are dominating the game🔥🔥💵🏆

I got a huge selection of bar heavy Wayne songs that I can send you if you want to react to. (And yeah his voice has majorly changed through the years. This song was 2008 and drugs and aging has changed his voice, as well as some autotune. Plus he changed to sound more modern so he can relevant to today’s standards)

Natural Reactions if you’re into his older songs like this with his more raspy voice, I’d check out anything from Tha Carter 2, Da Drought 3, or No Ceilings. Any song from those is worth reacting to, he’s going crazy with bars on those projects. If you wanna react to newer Wayne with bars, I’d check out Dedication 6

Eh, I think that lyrically Jay-Z has definitely proved himself as one of the greatest, hence why he's my GOAT, and hence the praise he receives from a lot of the greatest lyricists. I have *opinions* on why a lot of people down his skill, especially those who do so while praising clearly worse rappers in my mind.

I meant to respond sooner. I definitely think he is dope. Right now, I am also remembering how he actually truly (at least use to) freestyle and remember seeing videos of that thinking he is nasty. Maybe I just don't listen to him that much for some reason to be honest. He definitely can rap, can make dope catchy music, and has shit to say. Did I praise a clearly worse rapper? Or were you just saying? I definitely think he is at the very least top 10. Why do you think people down his skill?

Natural Reactions I think because he raps in a way that is hard to understand that the average person just doesn’t get the double and triple entendres, etc. he isnt a straight forward or punchline guy. It’s almost like he speaks in code. U have to really break it down and most people just don’t feel like going that deep to understand. And he isn’t a guy who will dumb down his content. Also, some people just don’t like his voice.

lil wayne is the only person in the rap game to ever get something of his from a song put in the dictionary... lil wayne is a living legend and i doubt anyone will take his place anytime soon this dude shot him self when he was young... now he is a black man was a young black male at the time and when the police got to his house all the black police officers jumped over his bleeding out body and went looking for guns and drugs this one while police officer stopped wayne calls him uncle bob, but anyway this white officer said to the other police what are you doing can’t you see this “baby” bleeding out here and the offers answered we called the ambulance bob said there no time for that and took wayne to the hospital him self... since that day wayne and uncle bob have both been living legends...

Dude...after I read this I meant to respond, but I sort of got sucked into a lil lil wayne rabbit hole! (Do you see how smiley he is the entire time too!?) I have realized since then, that I just hadn't gotten into him too much! I used to listen to a few things a while back, but I had truly forgotten how dope he IS! I spoke way too soon and I have been/will have to get into him more! Plus he skates! I do as well. Someone else explained that he also has somewhat of a 'southern twang' which I was sort of confusing with 'mumble rap'. While it does take me a few listens to really hear what he says (only sometimes), he is ALWAYS saying something dope. He's got BARS. I absolutely just need to give him more of a chance! (Jay Z as well!)

That is a little harsh..but I'll give it to you since you are probably right! I have since decided that I actually just straight up haven't listened to enough of his music. Gonna check some of his stuff out soon. What do you suggest? He is definitely dope, I guess I probably meant I don't really listen to him. Make me a fan den! Last track I heard was that one with the dope cartoon to go with "Rich dude, poor dude.." (you know what I mean) Which I thought was dope. What should I check out? I want BARS! (I've seen some dope old videos of him free styling back in the day too)

Jay doesn’t touch Wayne as far as bars go. I think Carter 3 era Wayne had all the vibes but this Funeral era Wayne has crazy bars. I can understand him fine, but I’m also from the south.
