Lil Wayne turns pro 

This is the first time in my life I see the inner child of Wayne. As a child he couldn't be that growing up, the adult was forced on him and it's sad. The Gangster life is nothing to play with and even deeper the person you need to become everytime to hit that mic is even worse.......for the first time I think he maybe even more happier to just be normal with no pressure......no expectations just kicking it.

Chill skateboarding has been growing but props to dude

Nyjah got better than SOTY because he won over people's respect, I'm seeing a lot of people who really haven't fvcked with him much at all, have their minds absolutely melted from his footage this year and they absolutely can't do anything else but respect the dude at this point, let alone all the interviews and stuff him showing more of his personality, people realizing he's really just a skate rat that made it big and has been super successful with sponsors and contest, but overall being in the streets, skating with his closest friends is what he cakues most out of skateboarding. SOTY is thrashers personal award to whoever skater (and possibly their brands) that they fvck with the most. This year should tell people what thrasher SOTY has always been about because it's always been like this and hasn't changed...it's not an award from the general population of skaters, it's literally thrashers sht. I personally think they should change that and make it about what the people want, but they aren't going to...that's their thing.

The whole skateboarding saves thing DGK is on is real sht for the most part. More young black and hispanic kids or kids in struggle situations in general need boards, if they don't have a 🏀 🏈 or whatever... skateboarding is much more positive than what I'm seeing these young niggas out here doing. He’s given us alot man as far as great mixtapes and albums and brought skateboarding a lot of recognition…it’s more of a homies deck… he’s obvi not as skilled as a pro skater but he’s brought more recognition to skating then most pros. I wouldn’t think like you are thinking but I see your point and why you think that way. Just maybe look at it from a different perspective look at how happy he is man he’s happier then any award any fame or glory… he’s the happiest I’ve ever seen the guy skateboarding kept this dude alive probably… he’s a legend and deserves his face on a skateboard. He's inspired so many young people to pick up skating and also revamped love for many of us adults who lost skating but still listened to his music and now want to skate. There's thousands of kids doing crazy shit on Instagram but also have the character of a 7 year old who just parties and posts Instagram and TikTok clips. Wayne has inspired so many and promoted the sport not even looking for sponsorship but for love of the sport
