I played this to some 40 year old plus people who said the youth of today don't make good songs any more. I've never seen a room go so quiet as melody started to sing and everyone looked stunned by the end!!! Some are even going to buy their albums.
Band members, Sam, lead guitar and video editor is 23, Aby, drums is 22, Melody, lead singer and in earlier videos will be playing bass is 20, Ethan, bass and in earlier videos will be playing rythmn guitar is 16 and Justin on keys is 14. Melody also does some painting and some of her painting will be on the Chain of Thorns video. Aby has designed tour shirts. This is a very talented group of kids.
My suggestion after looking through your video history would be Liliac- Dear Father. I promise you will love it. It's symphonic. None of the band members are even 24 yet. Sam is 23 and Justin is 14. That's the oldest and youngest.
It's Magic. Everytime I hear this song, it has the same effect as if I'm hearing it for the first time. I know eventually it will wear off; but, I hope not. I've previously called it an instant classic.. Every hearing re-enforces that initial thought. And its still nice seeing someone else get introduced to the befuddlement of how amazing this group really is. Magic.
This is my fav song by Liliac. Glad to see you enjoyed it. This band is something special and I agree, can’t wait to see what they have in store for the future. Pending what you choose to do next, if a cover may I recommend “The Last In Line”. Melody’s voice in the beginning of that deserves it’s own full song. If an original, try “Dear Father”. Saw them live last year! Melody has rested the more raspy tone and has been working heavily on more screaching within the metal songs! And let me tell ya she has the pipes for it lol blew me away!
Nice to see your skin stayed on until the end! So you started your original Liliac journey with their only ballad, not that there's anything wrong with that as this is the best power ballad I have heard in over 30 years. Just about any other Liliac original you choose going forward with be a rocker,.

Glad I'm not the only one who got goosebumps the first time I heard this awesome song. All 5 of them are so talented it's crazy. And Melody just has that great rock/metal rasp/tone to her voice that can't be taught. You can't go wrong with any song they've put out, so whichever one you pick next you can't go wrong. And since you mentioned "sibling magic", I'm going to suggest The Warning to you again. Another family band (3 sisters) that are really talented and definitely have that "sibling magic" going for them. They also don't have any bad songs, but if you want suggestions their live studio performance of "Evolve" on their channel is awesome as is their cover of "Enter Sandman" with Alessia Cara.
There is nothing that they do that is not brilliant. No one has a voice like Melody, Sam is top notch guitarist and Abby is a monster on the kit. Ethan and Justin are better than most players twice their age.
I'm not usually into Ballads but this was a great Power Ballad for an Independent band. Their 1st ever attempt at a Ballad by the way. They did this themselves for under 10k.
I used to see these kids playing on the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, a few years back...so impressive! They were right on the cusp when Covid hit...so it's good to see them enjoying some success!

who cares how much it costs lol. you can make this for even less. get a camera instruments they already own. put it on the beach and done. for less then 100 dollars this whole video could have been made. 6K is over selling it.
@@metalvideos1961 aparently youve never tried to make a profesional video or even looked into its cost. besides cameras, drones, man power( moving that piano on and off the sand), permits, police directing traffic, paying for the extra singers, musicians, and all the other extras involved, a masterpiece like this would be in the high thousands or even higher. you are fooling yourself if you think you could do anything this good for 100.00

@@metalvideos1961 Sorry, but in my opinion you live in the 70s or as Liliac says on "Mars" 🙄 There are 5 classic instrument players, one conductress and 10 singers. I'm sure, they won't sing and play for peanuts. This video started at Oct. 2020, so I think they got some logistic problems with pandemic too.

I love Liliac. I’ve been listen to them almost since the beginning. You may also enjoy giving a band called Nightwish a chance. In particular a song called Ghost Love Score the 2013 version live at Wacken.
SAILAWAY is my favourite Liliac original song and their only rock ballad , to me its sheer poetry as all great songs should be . Now try another tribute cover such as Metallicas MASTER OF PUPPETS or Dios LAST IN LINE then for your next original check out MARS or DEAR FATHER , Or simply reactto anything from their playlist there's not a dud among them . Hi I think you will also love a family of three sisters from Monterey Mexico called the Warning. I really like this video and also Dear Father and I love their covers. Melody's voice is amazing. FYI Liliac and the Warning both do covers of Enter Sandman. The Warning have their own version of Enter Sandman with Alessia Cara from Canada. This video is Gorgeous . Metallica gave the Warning the whole blacklist album. I like their version of Holy Diver by Dio. I subscribed to Liliac and The Warning. The Warning just finished a tour with Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless. They're in Canada in October and November with Three Days Grace
Liliac wrote Sail Away & Dear Father themselves, shot the videos (which are movie quality) themselves, & did it on a very small budget. Liliac has also done 2 USA Tours & opened for Skillet, Queensryche, Stryper, and Poison ad are about to release a new original album, they already have a 6 song EP and a 13 song LP, new album will be their 2nd LP. Yet your buddies over at The Warning Army say Liliac is just a cover band and can't write good originals & haven't opened for anybody, even called them untalented.
In any case instead of listening to Liliac's covers which I will agree are good, check out their originals from Chain of Thorns and Queen of Hearts because they are great.
I agree, this is an excellent band with a bright future. You say it was ‘brilliant’ but didn’t really explain what you found brilliant about the performance. A little more in-depth analysis would be appreciated.
i am not even joking but the vocalist literally got the worst vocals i have ever heard. not sure what she was thinking. its way way way too forced and not in a good way. just awful.
