It was a controversial finish the night or week before. JR says "he is, she's right" and "blood pressure boiling". It added to HHH character n giving her nite off just makes this bad ass script. STORY always.
So apparently Lillian needed some surgery and that same night, Vince allowed Triple H to chase her out of the arena, granting him heat and honoring Lilian's request. Smart way to keep kayfabe alive.
You were young. Probably pre teen, that's why it felt real. However, even back then, I could see the women were horrible at wrestling. The women have never been able to make it look convincing.
This just shows how cool and brilliant HHH is. Sold it right from the start all in the look. Nice for him to do this for Lillian. When Mick Foley did Mankind to Cactus Jack walking down the aisle to the ring, same thing. He looked like death was coming and Mick said it made the segment. Great selling.

Fun fact for the triple h troll ring announce, lilian garcia had something important to go to and had to leave. This was a way for her to leave for the night.

I know the story behind this and triple h is a true gentleman. Im just impressed Lillian hopped the guardrail that smooth in a dress and not exposing herself.
