An interesting interaction that makes new Rodion incredibly strong I realised because when you retreat her using her counter, she gives the 1st deployment slot another slot in a non chain battle focused encounter. This is super strong.
I think our little Rodion is a prelude of what is to come for future Rupture team. In MD she can easily hit for 600 dmg with her S3 but needs better Rupture IDs to take advantage of that 15+ rupture conditional for other kinds of content. It's like when Middle Don released and everyone was clowning on her 6 envy res and a few months later Envy team is not only viable but ridiculously strong with incredible SP healing (Walpipi Ryoshu, N Faust, Middle Don and Mer, throw Deici Rodion or even Cpt Ishmael and P Heathcliff). PM loves to tease us with fun ideas but we gotta wait a while for the whole picture.
You talking about her like she's the next potential woman. Her conditional being hard to achieve outside of md and inside of md then she have to wait until mid or late into the run. Her retreat gimmick being built for rr while outside of rr then she'll give a extra skill slot for the team. Devyat Rodion is falling into the case of "only If and when but never is" and "She'll be busted when newer contents and better rupture count ids releases"
Yeah Rodion seems REALLY good in the future, just doesn't have all that we need yet. The Potential Woman, if you will. Currently, the main two issues: - Other Rupture IDs being quite dated. Once we get more reliable ones like W Sang and 7 Faust, Rodion will fit right in the team - Retreating as a mechanic currently is kind of pointless. In normal fights you could just give double slots to an ID that would want that, and in chain combat she basically never returns after leaving. This can easily be fixed if we get more of the retreating IDs, who, for normal fights could do their magic as startup and leave, providing double slots (I wonder if it gives all of the slots to the same unit or different ones? If it's the same, this is really string actually) OR in chain battles switching with each other constantly, which honestly seems really fun, not to mention that this would enable Rodion to consistently output massive numbers.
I would generally agree with this sentiment but I really don't because middle don definitely isn't the best unit to use in an envy res team despite her synergy with them and I feel rodion will be the same in a rupture team
I think ppl kinda overestimating the impact of 15:3 rupture on her kit. I mean, what exactly are we losing from not being able to hit it: coin power? no, she can still get it with trunks, debuffs on s2? same story here. the only thing that is depended on that 15:3 is coin reuse on s3, which sure, sucks, but it doesn't make her a "potential women". As someone, who used suncliff a lot upon his release, i can say for certain that he felt much worse to play then courier Rodya. Suncliff just always felt awkward with his sanity and low skill ceiling, to the point of being kinda unplayable at times (Altho i still love mr. Potential). Rodya on the other hand is still a powerhouse, having an interesting version of dawnclairs gimmick, nice coin power and some rupture synergy - she is not unplayable by any means. Honestly, i think devyat Rodya is more of a standalone id rather then a rupture one. Her main gimmick is managing the amount of trucks, getting more and more powerful with each new turn and making an escape if she is about to die. I think the escaping gimmick is misunderstood: its not meant to be used unless she is about to die - its even called a "Strategic R&R", it helps to soften the blow of her leaving the battle by giving another sinner her skill slot, instead of making her a dead weight and a moral debuff. Rupture is optional Or i might just be coping lel lel.
She’s good, but not for the reason you think she is. She can absorb hits for the first 3 turns it takes to get rupture going and then exit while giving two other units a power boost for a few turns and an extra skill slot
Fact is why elking work is as you say health love sinking and we have many amazing ID that can apply sinking, but Rodin here we don’t have many amazing rupture ID she certain great for a future rupture team but right now she meh, plus fact she only can be on field for a few turn sucks for long fight compared to health who get stronger as fights go on
Yeah, we need to wait till PM release new Rupture IDs, and also Rodya is all about short fights so it’s just a unit for specific situation just like WildHunt for long fights
lobotomy ego don's skill 2 is good for starting a rupture stack and when the count is too low though, it can get it back up if its too close to running out
Ok. So... She is a good rupture dmg dealer. For a slahs and gluttony neutral enemy, 15 rupture and 3 count and with 20 courier trunks her s3 deals 11x1.8 + 17x1.8 + 23x1.8 + 29x1.8, and alongside that a free 60 rupture dmg that doesn't ruin any count. Which ammounts to close to 200 dmg on an enemy. Ye. She is good. Is she the best? Nah. Will I get her? Nah, I am broke Edit: she deals even more dmg with third and reused coin on a skill 3. I am just illiterate. And I am lazy to go into the calculator again
You are kinda wrong to be honest in rupture we dont use gregor anymore because his id is really really bad having to use skill 3 to actually do anything When theres better alternatives like both shredder egos and hong lu replacing him insted its a lot of COUNT like 9 count on both shredder egos you will stop needing count after those egos yi sang with his passive and the rest sinner lile faust, heath and don are literally neutral count so you Will literally do tons better without gregor on the team Using ringsang insted of w sang is literally stupid
