@@cheesecake924 it’s a little joke when grian and jimmy were I’m guessing in a convention, (or something similar), and when he was being introduced, grian and his other friends there decided to call him Timmy as a joke. And, it just stuck.
"Welcome to Tim Life. This series, everything is mainly the same to third life, aside from one thing. Our dear friend Timmy. Timmy has 6 lives, to see if he can not die first."
Grian, as long as there's a map change and the mechanics sort of stay the same, we're all more than happy for you to make another life series, every time it's a whole new vibe and a great joy to watch! Don't feel like you have to change the mechanics at all or too much!!!
Can I just say, let’s keep this going until we can get solidarity a win, he has died first every time. He has yet to make it to the last session and always dies on the second to last one. We need him to make it farther.
ive been saying for some time. nether life. give it like third or last life rules but maybe 5 lives instead of 3 and it would super interesting with enough of a change to make it unique even with the same mechanics
I'll jump on this theme and say that we don't mind if new seasons are similar to their predecessors, or even if you reuse one (I've always wanted another Double Life series)! If you guys are having fun, we are as well.
Yes to this! Would love 24 hours between two partners (apologies to whoever is tied to Solidarity). Double Life is my favorite of the Life Series so far and I absolutely love the mix of people who may not have otherwise teamed up.
Bad Boys Signature Bread Recipe: 1. In a large bowl, add 3 cups of chaos. 2. Mix in TNT, 3 cups of fresh grain, and about 3 tablespoons of disregard for consequences. Set aside. 3. Butter a small pan with about 1 tablespoon of maniac laughter. Add several pieces of ladder (evenly spaced) and about 3 teaspoons of bad puns (more can be added if the consistancy doesn't seem ridiculous enough). 4. Sprinkle half of the original mixture over the pan and bake for 12 hours, and than 12 more once the remaining half has been added. 5. If desired, sprinkle some buttons on top, and enjoy!
I find it oddly poetic how Jim was the first bad boy out, and he died from fall damage. Then Grian was the final bad boy out, and he also died from fall damage. Also a little bit upset that you didn't include the part when you threw your bread across the border.
Exactly. Last time this happened was in Third life when martyn gave diamonds to grian to make a sword on the first episode. The alliance did not last long.
It's a bit ironic that Joel ran out of time in front of a CLOCK! Also loved everyone freaking out in chat when he and Grian kept repeatedly falling off the ladders. 😂
Secret life: At the start you get assigned 2-6 lives just like in last life but you’re never shown how many you get. I know this messes up the coloured-name mechanic but maybe it could be compensated for with more boogeyman action or maybe everyone would just be hostile
Idea for a twist: "Inherited Life" when you kill someone, instead of items being dropped, you swap inventories I think this could make for some very interesting shenanigans
I’d actually be really interested in a double life but using the 24 hours concept in limited life! I really liked seeing the random pairings in double life series but as most people pointed out, it felt too short given 3 max lives. Or if there was future improvements or iterations on any of the previous formats, that’ll be cool to see
I think it would be fun if there was a version of double life where you both lost the same health but didn't both regenerate it. So if person a took 75% damage, then so did person b. But then if person a ate, only person a would restore health. If person a then took 75% damage again (without person b healing) then person a would drop to 25% health again and person b would die.
A thought I had about something that could be done for the next Life series would be to add more roles that are assigned besides the Boogieman. Like two people could be assigned the Double Life mechanic for an episode, someone could become a secret creeper and explode on death, etc.
That’d be great! I’ve also seen other roles suggested by the community: -you have to go through the whole session without hurting a player or animal, if you do, you gain a life. -One player is selected every session as the “Target”. Let’s say Skizz is selected. Everyone besides him will get a screen saying “The Target is… Skizzleman”. Skizz will get a screen saying that the target is someone else (Let’s say Pearl). Everyone besides Skizz will gain a life if they kill him. If Skizz kills Pearl, nothing will happen, as she was not actually the Target. If Skizz survives the entire session, he gains two lives. You could turn this into more of a curse by making Skizz lose two lives when killed. -One player is selected per session. This player is known by everyone -perhaps via a message in chat or different colored name (perhaps purple to symbolize the Watchers manipulating them). Their goal is to get as many kills as possible, gaining one life per kill. If this is too overpowered, a rule can be added so that if any other player kills them, they gain a life. These would work best in with Last Life mechanics, so lives can be used as currency, rewards and punishment.
I didn't really like the keep inventory rule at the beginning, but I've to admit that in combination with having more lives it made players more reckless and brought to a lot of crazy situations.
Grain if you need an idea for the new series. You could always play with changing the border so it will get smaller every half an hour or something like that. I think that would be pretty interesting, because when everyone is red there is not a lot of space to hide
Yknow, I love how this when from Joel and Grian being some of the main people cheering when Jimmy was out first to trying to save him from being out first.
What you could do for the next season, due to the effectiveness of both sky nets, is make the world be amplified terrain, that way the world is not only interesting and challenging with heights, but allows for cover from tnt as well as places to drop it from.
An idea for next season; Tag. Every session is a game of tag. There's no tag backs. No safe zone. Whoever is it by the end of the session loses a life.
Heres my idea for Season 5, I don't have a name but its inspired by the Cleo/Gem and Pearl/Lizzie swap in: Similar concept as Double Life, but instead each pair shares a player and each week they take turns playing. For example, if Jimmy and Joel were paired, Jimmy could play in the first session, then in the next session Joel would swap in and play in Jimmys place, the cycle repeating until theres a winning pair. Rules: Each pair gets three lives, if they run out they're both out. BONUS: The life sharing system from Last Life could be brought back to add extra suspense to giving lives away. Each pair shares inventories, whatever items a player has in their inventory when they leave a session is what the other will start with at the next session. Pairs are allowed to communicate with each other through the server (signs, book and quill, etc.), but they are not allowed to watch uploads of the most recent session until they've completed their session (Example: if Jimmy played in the first session, Joel wouldnt be allowed to watch any uploads of the session until he did the second session, and Jimmy wouldnt be able to watch the second session until doing the third session).
Now take that and switch whose playing the character for half session(skin/items/lives), the players can let each other know whose controlling who via proximity but not the chat unless dying. Give create interesting deals
@@ethabn4 exactly. Double life was a bad concept for those reasons. It was entertaining, but it was fundementally flawed which made the season shorter and the deaths less intense, bc people would just randomly die sometimes bc of their partner
I love this series. It's been drop dead hilarious to watch all the shenanigans that take place. I've got an idea for another season that might be fun to explore. Take a look at the rules for "Body Body" and see if you can incorporate them into the game. It's a blast to play IRL!!
NEXT SEASON IDEA:Double life and limited life combination could be fire but some more additional concept like the boogeyman killer(his/her goal is to eliminate the boogey before the boogey eliminates a person) or boogey sacrifice(his/her goal is to get killed by the boogeyman to save everyone for additional life)
This series was my favorite so far. The timed life aspect allowed for more risk-taking and comical deaths, groups helping their boogie get his kill (I credit the Bad Boys for starting that trend), and just the groups themselves made for an unpredictable, fun run. A potential idea for future Life series would include adjusting the amount of hearts, either; Short Life: lots of lives but half the hearts Long Life: 3 lives but double the hearts ??? Life: first few lives are short, but the final life is long.
Season 5 Idea: Life-Style This idea is similar to Double life, Empires and Afterlife SMP. Instead of a player having 3 lives, each player is assigned to a biome and that biome has 10 lives, 6+ is green, 4+ is Yellow and 0+ is Red. Each biome has 2 players, if a player dies then the biome loses a life, when a biome loses its last life, both players die and the biome turns into whatever biome the player killed was in. Additionally based on what biome you are in you are based on, you get an origin, similar to the afterlife SMP or origin SMP. You have a origin on your green life, yellow and red, however the red life's origin is base off a hostile mob. To prevent people from dying to much due to recently getting their origin, your first death on your new origin will not count. This may be too much away from Vanilla, but if anyone on the SMP can read this it would be much appreciated to acknowledge this to everyone and see if any of these aspects can make it on the 5th season if you make one, Thanks and I hope Jimmy doesn't die first next time.
I have been absolutely loving this series. perhaps the next limited life series could have one life, but you have three times the hearts. I hope to see more of this
Idea for next life series! Shared Life! You start as normal, with 3 lives. But the twist? You can combine your lives. A simple command allowing you to combinenyour lives with somebody else. This is when theyre combined. Say Grian and Joel are combined. Grian may die, but Joel's life may be used. So basically Grian would die with Joel's life, Grian would reset to full health, and Joel would die randomly. Health isnt shared though. And with the boogeyman, until they are cured, their lives are temporarily uncombined. If they both still have 3 lives and are combined, they have a 3/6 chance to die each if one dies. One died, 2/5 chance if you have 2 lives. You can combine with up to 4 people. Tell me if i missed anything or need to clear something up, thanks for reading!
As much as third life will always have a space in my heart and be my favorite, this absolutely is a close second. Loved all the factions and loyalty in this one, can’t wait to see more!
First Life: (or old life idk, first fits the naming better tho) basically its 3rd life maybe with the boogie mechanic but in an older version of minecraft, not like alpha but something with old pvp/older redstone with more glitches, i kinda wanna see how people would use the weird redstone bugs and different fighting style and i think it works as a decent twist
the life series are so fun and give me something to expect every week, I think it would be cool if you did Double Life but had the mechanic so you could swap soulmates with people at any time, but no pressure on anything!!
The part that I love most about Limited Life is, that you actually get rewarded for killing people and don‘t just do it for fun. That sounded very strange tiped out loud…
