You'd probably want to try to absorb all knowledge on chemistry and the brain to stabilize yourself. Chemistry also to analyze and make your own NZT, the movie indicates the need for a pill is eventually phased out though. Origin of NZT and it's development research a potential massive shortcut here. Once you're set up for yourself you can help others. It's like securing your mask so that you can help others with theirs on a plane. Then you'd probably just want to absorb all knowledge you can, researching immortality and regeneration, self ascending to Godhood.

This vid is a great example of intelligence vs. wisdom. He's smart enough to figure out how to play the guitar based on lessons he had as a kid, and smart enough to beat 5 people at once at chess, but not wise enough to realize those are stupid things to do with his time.

Yeah, but that's not necessarily wisdom for him. That might be how you see wisdom or you use wisdom. He actually likely has the wisdom but doesn't care and just sees things differently. He may not think doing those things are stupid to do with his time, just based on his happiness and what he enjoys doing. They are likely considered useless by most people on his level for sure, especially people with his intelligence and wisdom. I think what you're missing is that it's likely strictly a personal decision for him. He may have the wisdom to realize that most people would disagree with how he's spending his time, but it's very likely he just doesn't care, and that's what he likes to do with his time. For example Gary Kasparov and Magnus Carlsen both have extremely extremely high IQ's, much higher than most top top scientists and engineers, and they could be using their intelligence to do much better things for the world. Some people just care more about themselves and their own ego, and just won't bother putting their intelligence and time into other more useful things for the world. They have the wisdom to notice it and likely do though. It depends on the person though, as I do believe there are people that are spending their time and intelligence on the wrong things, but they don't even have the wisdom to realize that what they're doing isn't helping the world or helping anyone at all. I think most people are in the minority though. I like your point for sure, and I wish most people would be putting full time and effort into positive things that would help the world. There are so many very brilliant people that are lazy, or have problems, and they just don't spend their time doing much good at all, if any actually, and it's incredibly sad and disappointing. I can't imagine how much better the world would be if everyone lived up to their potential and spent their time doing useful things.

Also do meditate everyday, in a few months you'll be smarter than the majority of people. Understanding yourself and managing your emotions take a huge part in someone actual reasoning capabilities. Everyone is doing workout (which is good), but it seems like most people forgot brain was also a muscle, it can and has to be trained to be the most efficient. Search for your fears, weaknesses, bad memories or things you are ashamed of, everything that you'd like to avoid naturally. Because behind every one of them there's some knowledge. Fears are like questions waiting to be answered. Once you do so, you become better. That's what it is to be smart, being able to adapt and to find solutions to problems. Just one warning though, being smart won't necessarily make you happy, actually, it might be the opposite. So becoming smarter is ok, and you can keep going until you're smart enough to succeed in whatever you chose to do with your life, but maybe you better stop before you know or understand too much... maybe. _"The cost of knowledge is innocence"_ - Sun Tzu

@sampabhattacharya8405
@sampabhattacharya8405 3 года назад
What exactly do you mean by memory techniques?!
@maximrighetti8633
@maximrighetti8633 3 года назад
@@sampabhattacharya8405 training yourself to recall what you just said or what you just thought and then going backwards, asking yourself what you thought/said 5 minutes ago and keep going backwards. Do that until it becomes an habit and you'll remember much more and you'll start remembering dreams because you'll be doing it automatically in your sleep. Memory is achieved by attention, you can't remember something you haven't paid attention to, but you can train your ability to focus with meditation. Our brain is very good at remembering wierd/funny/horrendous/sexual images, so the trick is translating the thing you want to remember into an image, and the image must be colorful with details and moving(moving objects are remembered better). Then you bind the different images together with a story, possibly with the structure subject-action-object and then you put the story into a place you know well. It's an elaboration of the memory palace, all you're doing is attaching memory hooks on the information you want to remember and you are reelaborating it. It's harder to use for abstract concepts but very easy for concrete ones. Numbers are the easiest thing to remember once you learned the associations of the major system (look that up on Wikipedia), basically you translate each number into a consonant and use them to form words and with those words you create a story and so on and so forth like i said previously. So it sounds difficult but it takes just a little bit of practice, look up some examples of the memory palace on the Internet, personally i watched "memory games" on netflix and read the book it mentions :"moonwalk with einstein". I also read "make it stick" and "a mind for numbers".But the most important thing is practicing these techniques until they become mindless habit and you'll end up just remembering.

On a certain level, we have a drug store in our brain, the neurochemicals that show up in flow: so dopamine, norepinephrine, anandamide, endorphins, and serotonin. If you were to try to cocktail the street drug version of that, right, you're trying to blend like heroin and speed and coke and acid and weed- and point is, you can't do it. It turns out the brain can cocktail all of 'em at once, which is why people will prefer flow to almost any experience on Earth. It's our favorite experience. It's the most addictive experience on Earth. Why? 'Cause it cocktails five or six of the largest pleasure drugs the brain can produce. We're all capable of so much more than we know. That is a commonality across the board. And one of the big reasons is we're all hardwired for flow, and flow is a massive amplification of what's possible for ourselves.

I genuinely enjoyed watching this show series of (LIMITLESS) & I was very disappointed that it had come to an end. In addition I was really upset that the series of (LIMITLESS) had ended the way it did with a cliffhanger ending to it. If a was a ShowCritic I would of given the show series of (LIMITLESS) the rating of Five Stars plus Half a Star.

He may have accessed a great intuition and memory skill set, but the guitar playing was mediocre. they could have had him show some comparable innovation rather than a crappy, mechanical run.
@tyghr
@tyghr 3 года назад
I think that's fair, though. His fingers lack the training to play quicker or fluidly acquired from dedicated classical study. it'd be a stretch to say nzt compensates for that.
@heresynco

@@tyghr my point. just leave it out then. it doesn't - or shouldn't - impress the viewer, regardless of the extras watching on screen. it isn't thematic to the gift the drug has given him.
