It is wonderful to hear somebody talk of Mr. Lincoln with affection. As you said, there is too much running down of our heritage these days. I do not want this trip to end.
I am binging all your vlogs. I am from Chicago, now in Ohio, watching your Lincoln tour and I am amazed by you. I love the fact you showed so much respect as the last time I was there.....well, parents let their children behave as if it were Disney Land. you are now my favorite! your passion is wonderful.
Justin, You have a great talent! It amazes me that for someone of your age you know so much and have so much reverence and respect for things that matter most. Excelsior! We could very well see this kind of talent on television.
This is my favorite video I've ever seen from you Justin. Abe is up there with Walt for people who amaze/inspire me. The Battle Hymn of the Republic gave me goosebumps at the end. Great work as always!
Justin I so appreciate you doing these videos all along Route 66 someday I would like to try and even do half of it if I could. Now we all have places that we can stop and look at when we do do go on our trips
Just like all the rest of the Route 66 videos, fantastic job! My buddy and I were really glad to get a chance to talk to you in Atlanta. Great tributes to President Lincoln.
My father was born on February 12,1919,110 yrs. after Lincoln's birth. He died a month shy of his 87th birthday. His middle name was,of course,Lincoln. So,thank you for this video most of all.
Hi Justin Scarred. I have really enjoyed your great videos and got at least 5 other people to watch you. You have a great way of showing history and comedy. Your comments are so funny, sometimes my wife and have a great time laughing. We live in Missouri and we love it, glad you enjoyed your few stopps. I am so glad your shared your families history and final resting place. I expect you to go in the Arch on your way back, I am to chicken to go up. So show us as we never will. great job, so glad we found you.
I just saw your WigWam hotel show while sitting in the hotel in Springfield IL. We went to the house, the museum and tomb. This is brilliant, you are giving us more that we did not have time to see, and more information and stories we did not get. Kids wuld love your presentation n school as well. You belong on PBS.
I usex to teach history...passionate about it...so glad to see thru tbe eyes of another with tbay heart for history. Never loose it...or your sense of humor. you would be a great history teacher because of your passion and sense of humor. Love your work.
This is my dream to travel Route 66 someday, I really appreciate all the effort you have put into these videos. I know it can't be easy uploading and editing while on the road! Thanks so much Justin!
We live in Hodgenville, KY, about 4 minutes away from Lincoln's Birthplace. Needless to say, we are HUGE Lincoln fans, especially my youngest daughter, and we'll be visiting Springfield in a few weeks. All that being said, I just wanted to let you know how well of a job you did with this video. All class. Well done.
I've said it before, I'm really enjoying your Route 66 adventures! This one is one of your best efforts yet, and so professionally done as well as educational and entertaining! Happy trails!
You were here!!! In Lincoln!! I'm sad we missed you but my husband Robby is gonna LOVE this. He grew up here! Your reaction to the covered wagon was pretty much the same as my initial reaction to it! 😂👍🏼
Ok I had to watch this video twice, I am really enjoying these videos , is it just me or does anyone else get sad when Justin moves on , weird ?? ❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️
Thanks Justin for all the great videos. Been through a lot in my life and when life seems to rear it's ugly head your videos remind me for the Quest for Positivity.
I'm following these Route 66 adventures with great interest. Justin, you do what you do so well. Clear evidence that interesting, entertaining, and compelling TV does not require a big budget. We went to Springfield a couple of years ago, and enjoyed revisiting it through you. Looking forward to the Windy City.
If you ever drive through Abeline Kansas you should check out the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum, Boyhood Home, and final resting place. There are also a lot of old houses and a train station. It's a really cool place to visit.
So exciting that you've made it this far on your journey. These videos are definitely the coolest way to learn about Route 66 history! Also, I happened to be biking around Griffith Park yesterday and noticed the Carolwood Barn was open. I went to check it out and ran into Bob Gurr, Floyd Norman, and Margaret Kerry there! I just moved to California and it's awesome to get to see some of the places you've seen and people you've met on your adventures!
Go to DC! They have Lincolns hat and coat on display before you enter Ford's Theater. Come to Detroit! At the Henry Ford Museum we have the original chair Lincoln was shot in. I've spent my whole life traveling in the footsteps of Lincoln. He's my hero and this video means a lot to me!
I have been watching your videos for a long time and I always love the humor mixed in with some awesome knowledge. I did not think that they could get any better but wow this video just topped it!!! A+ dude and the ending was amazing!!
Hi Justin. Thank you for visiting Elkhart, Lincoln & Atlanta in Logan County. Great video featuring some highlights from our stretch of 66, but like you said, there's a lot more to see! Maybe you can explore some more on your way back...safe travels :-)
LOVE HISTORY, Just stumbled upon your channel sir...Love presidential history..NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE....WOW, To many people FORGET History...Love DC and all the history. It is fun to stand somewhere and think of all the FAMOUS people who came before us, what must have been discussed. Elkhart Illinois is just up the road from MY home town ELKHART INDIANA...Now living in Lincoln Homestate
You forgot to walk down the steps behind the tomb to the original receiving tomb. It's usually full of cobwebs, spiders and is musty smelling but pretty cool.
This has to be my favorite video of yours Justin. I love Disney, Lincoln is literally the only other thing that makes me excited other than Disney history. That moment of silence. Wow, just incredible. Did you know Abraham Lincoln was named after his grandfather who too was killed? Yup. His grandfather on his Father's (whom Lincoln had a strained relationship with, strained as in, didn't go to his funeral strained) side was killed by Indians. Reportedly with young Thomas (Lincoln's dad) nearby.
Been to the in Springfield, we stopped and had a cozy dog, this is the only town and section of Route 66, was hopping you were going to film at this restaurant
