Linda Tillery Celebration at The Academy 

Legendary singer and activist Linda Tillery headlined a celebration in her honor at The Academy SF on September 29, 2023. The event, a co-production of the San Francisco Bay Times and the Castro-based venue, featured numerous other performers including Diane Amos, Melanie DeMore, Barbara Higbie, Terrie Odabi, Dr. Dee Spencer, Sharon Washington, and DJ Rockaway presented by Olivia Travel. Here, Linda, Barbara, Dee, and others join for a soulful version of the Al Green hit "Ride, Sally, Ride." Donna Sachet, seen briefly in the video, was the emcee. The event, which also served as a benefit for Linda following her lengthy health hiatus, was part of the monthly "Divas & Drinks @ The Academy" series, now in its third year.
