I am a beginner level club player, I recently got a chance to watch 2 pros (singles players, may be not too advanced) play more or less from the same angle as this video. As they moved from one corner to the another, to me, they appeared moving very fast, but struggling to keep up and cover the court, it was impressive nevertheless. And then now when I watch this, I see then Lin dan, after playing one shuttle almost walk to the retrieve the next one, no wonder he is the GOAT.

Even lin dan in his own prime time dominating men's single for long period of time , he lost some points to his opponents. because they are top athlete of the world. this match was taken in 2018, when it has past his prime time. still how sophisticated his foot work and stroke is. still can't find this level of skill set from other single players in these days. and lin dan barely runs on the court in his entire career. it was very hard to see when he ran on court, even in his prime time. that's his style.
