Nice jack of all trades pedal and a good option for a budget delay pedal. I’ve got good delay pedals already but for someone looking to get into playing with some effects..yeah .why not ! One of the warmest delay pedals I had was a Caline Blue Ocean and it was super cheap..
Just to warn everyone. So many people on the internet have said this thing will break. The pedal doesn't break but the pedal has a grounding issue. So just sand paper the paint around the screws and you should be fine.
It's like a Line 6 DL4, but smaller! :-D All settings and type of delays are really identical to the DL4... Makes me think about to add both together in my pedal board, and to use all modulations of course...
Gee love the modulated delay at the 2:40mark...pretty darn good and I agree this pedal is worth it just for the delay/reverbs alone...i have seen several guitarists use an M9 in thier rig (in front of 1000's of people) just for the delays and modulation effects.
For detune jazz tone to 2 amp - add a stereo chorus pedal before a M5 set stereo delay. But the delay time is only over 20 ms - what a pity - who knows if there will ever be an upgrade to go down to 1 ms.
Great video. I just bought one in part based on your review. I was looking for something very much like this anyway but your demo helped me seal the deal hearing some of the effects. That delay with mod sounds amazing.
shnobel hey question what's your thoughts on this unit? Was thinking about getting this for its delays... Am starting out and. Am gonna be getting a pedal board and was thinking about putting this in my board and other question what do you think about the line 6 hd500x? And could you demo it if you can get hold of it??
@Stephen Whitney I have the M13 version of this pedal and it is IMHO, far superior to the HD. my only suggestion is that although these line 6 stomp boxes have distortion, it comes off a bit lacking at times. Grab yourself a good overdrive, (doesn't have to be too expensive), to run with it when needed, and you will be set. I could not be happier. It's some great kit and sounds wonderful live.
Thank you. This is the best review of this pedal I've seen. BUT I would like to hear the pedal by itself thru one amp to see what it sounds like. Your tone is really great thru those stereo amps and Analogman King of Tone, but not a good review of the way the pedal sounds alone,
I tried one of these through a Carvin Legacy amp on clean with a EHX English Muffin in front. I was happy to see it had a noise gate. I just used the noise gate and the delay to test out the EHX English Muffin. I am curious how many fx can you use. I would want noise gate, delay and reverb the most.
Hi, I can't find the way to toggle the delay settings as you do, in my M5 there is no options to select dotted or quarter delay, just the knobs for each channel speed even if a plug it in stereo. Thanks
The dotted and quarter delay are the last selections of the delays, you have to turn the knob all the clockwise (if not then try turning the knob all the way counter-clockwise then all the way clockwise, you will see the note settings there.
great video n' great pedal. but got a doubt ...are there Subdivisions no the delay section ?? I mean Delay Dotted Eighth , Quarter Note , triplet etc.. I'll appreciate someone reply me. t-you =)
Perfect for my small pedalboard. My Boss ES-5 has only 5 loops and 2 MIDI. This will open up worlds of tone and I can leave out my crappy Mooer reverb. Two amps, stereo, awesome.
