I just bought the M9 for the second time after many years, i only use it for modulations, what i find great in this machine is the way it works and the possibility to have 6 pedals in one scene, it is really a one of a kind multieffect, i think it's got very good delays, verbs and mods but what made me buy it again is the layout, also another cool thing is that you if you need two effects but not together you can place them one above the other and one will switch off as soon as you switch on the other with one push, to me this is a very nice features, i paid mine second hand but like new 190 euro, not bad.
Haha, that would have been great, maybe with the new helix hx effects you can but i like to have my single pedal as well so i think the m9 it's a great tool....
Hey man I'm thinkin of buying this too just for the effects as I have a good distortion tone with from my tube screamer and distorion pedal. Would this change my tone alot if I'm just planning to use tremelo. Reverb etc...? And where in the chain do you put this at?
I’d have to check the manual because I can’t really remember - but I have a feeling you just hold down the respective button for about three seconds, and your patch just gets remembered. Open to be corrected on that though :-)
It’s great for inserting some versatility into a pre-existing analog pedalboard loop. Some sessions/gigs, you don’t need the stuff on this. But when you do, this is a beast.
I would like to know how the routing is in the pedalboard, I mean that I understand that it is possible to connect the stomps in an order as it is done regularly in separate pedals, wah first, then distortion, then modulation etc. etc. how we do this?
Each column of footswitches is like an indiviual pedal. You select which effect goes in each column and it works like three pedals in a row: 1, 2, 3. You can look at the full manual by Googling "Line 6 M9 PDF". Hope tha helps :) Gearfacts
I just bought one a month ago. I use the demension and tremolo mainly. Would have paid the same price for a good chorus and tremolo pedal. I use the tap tempo alot.
