I have noticed that my hands are not as steady as when I was in my 20s. My technique is slowly improving as I go in these episodes. Thanks for watching!

@@lorisrobots You're doing great! Using the tape is a good idea to hold things in place.

Hello Lori, just a quick thing, use blu tack instead of tape, as it’s reusable many times over, great video by the way, you are showing professionalism, keep up the great work, the more you do, the more you’ll learn and become a better person in the future, if that’s makes sense.. 🤙🏼🇦🇺 Joe from Australia 🤙🏼🇦🇺

Hi Joe. Thanks for your suggestions. I don't use blu tack (poster tack) anymore because it is heat sensitive and will melt. I have melted it before - makes a mess. Perhaps there is a heat resistant version I am not aware of? I totally agree that you just have to practice. This was my second kit - I have completed eight kits now so I really have improved my soldering skills over time. Stay tuned to see more of my adventures in soldering! Thanks for watching!

@@lorisrobotsI agree that blu tack is overrated. Every time I use it, I wish I hadn't. Nice work!

@@AnotherMaker I think if you are skilled, you can place it where the heat will not get it. But as a beginner, I am feeling more comfortable using the high temp tape. It is not expensive and you can often reuse it a couple times. Thanks for watching!
