I also think this is the best demo of each sound and all parameters for DL4... I have some friends which use other delay pedals... I'm goona share it with them.. \o/
Dude thank you! I’ve had this pedal for almost 20 years and by watching this I realize I’ve barely touched the surface of all the possibilities. I now use the Helix which has all these but the pedal itself is so much more accessible. I’m pulling it out and plugging it in now. Again, thank you.
Like many others have commented, you simplified the demonstration of what this pedal can do and showed me how much more I could be using it for. Thank you for sharing this.
I've had this pedal a couple years and have stuck to the Tube and Analog delays primarily . I've been so focused on recording and learning production that I haven't been playing guitar much anymore, but this just sparked me. Thank you
I'll watch this video at least 10 20 times over l own a dm4 I'll buy the dl4 because I need a quarter note delay to with my eighth note delay (Dm-2w) on my pedal board. great job I'll watch it 20 30 40 times over great job of demonstrating this pedal !!
I always have and will always love this pedal, sometimes I wish you could switch the delays without having to toggle each button every time just to snap it into place...but still, can't beat this pedal.
Hi, thanks for your video, is great. Can you suggest me the way to use the dl4 like a short reverb? Not for ambient staff, just like little tale of sound, but without repeats.
Miloš Banašević great price.👍🏽I bought this because I like how Reggie Watts uses it. We have a friend in common Sxip Shirey. He’d love this delightful gadget
Hello, great video! What do you think of the Vox DelayLab? I'm interested by its looper mode (with delay!). But does the sounds are as cool as on the DL4? thank you!
Hello! I'm currently using Delaylab in my setup (thinking about making similar video). Delaylab is better built and have some cool modes that DL4 lacks - especially pitch delay and reverb + delay. Also 30 presets VS 3 in DL4. DL4 has better modulation by my taste. DL4 also better as looper cause it can do halfspeed trick and delaylab can't. So you should try both because they very different beasts.
These tape sounds are phenomenal. Has anyone else had an issue with the Tube Echo and Tape Echo settings producing a crappy, harsh sounding modulation with higher repeat levels? The tape modulation in this video sounds way better than mine.
I have, with tube echo. I found that it was the amp I used in rehearsals, which was a solid state combo, versus my stage rig, a Marshall DSL 100. No problems at all with that producing really warm sounds, and can get pretty lush.
is there a program or a something i can download to get that sound generator in the bottom left corner or whatever its called? it depicts how far and for how long the sound travels it appears? what is it!!!??
I see there's an input for an expression pedal. What parameters would that control? Im looking to be able to control the delay time and get those crazy pitch shifting sounds with my foot while I'm playing a lead. Much like what Fredrik Thordendal did on his "Special Defects" album and later in Meshuggah.
Thank you so much for this most excellent demonstration. This is what all pedal demo videos should be. Cannot believe how half-assed and uninformative some other demos are. And a HUGE extra special thanks for just playing notes and simple chords instead of douchey, warmed-over blues licks!!!
Check out what sound you can get out of your Whammy using the Line 6 DL4 in REVERSE mode: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6jKXbY8r_Co.html
The DL4 by Line6 is a great Reverb Machine. Ive got the oldest one, but first must apply the new switches cause the old one is piece of shit and change power for 5V 300mA. And now works great!
Do not waste your time watching this video .I personaly do not think this person plays guitar. he sure can twist knobs though. I think the unit may be ok.
Do not waste your time reading this comment .I personaly do not this person speaks language. he sure can spell some words though. I think RU-vid may be ok.
