Green Rainshower was my favorite by far. I mean all the patches are simply awesome. Man you are some next level with your patching game. Loved the video. It would be nice if you could like do one or two videos demoing how you create these tones. but nevertheless, keep it going bud, this is some awesome stuff you got going.

I've just ordered a Pod X3, in part thanks to this video! I was torn between the XT and shelling out a few extra bucks for the X3 but this settled it. :D

This is seriously the best X3 Live demo that I have ever seen/heard! I think I'm going to get another one (had one/sold it). I will download your patches as soon as I get it. Keep up the good work.
My normal rig is HD500 (for effects only) into a single-channel Monster tube amp. When I record demos, I go direct with the HD500 amp models. The effects on the HD500 are superior compared to XT series, but I'm not so sure about the amp/cab modelings.

Great sound mate. I have the Pod X3 Live that I use for recording and have used it live many times. It`s a sturdy piece of gear. My only few gripes are the clean is not true bypass and sounds synthetic. For live I now use a pedalboard with individual pedals. I love the ethereal sounds too and combine DD20, DD2, PS5 (all Boss) and EHX Cathedral and the sounds are raw and dreamy. My fav sound on the X3 is the cavernous reverb. I've been searching for a pedal like it but it seems unique. Anyway, thanks for the demo

Man, that's a great vid! BTW, I've bought my X3 Live back in 2009 and I'm still using it. Really great stuff for the live gigs and studio sessions. Almost all of the X3 Live effects been used during recording of my band's debute album.

I had some thoughts about having HD500. But, lately decided to gather some money and get an analog effects. From EHX or MXR :) Check out EHX series video on RU-vid, it's called Effectology. People are doing things! :)

That's true. Live gig with X3 Live is much easier than with a bunch of analog pedals on the floor, making you dance along the pedalboard just to turn off delay and turn on your wah. :)
I created all these tones from scratch. If there's foot work going on, it's written on the screen. Most of them work without any expression pedal action.
@TheSimuzz to avoid clipping, turn down the "tone volume" until it doesn't clip anymore, and then save it. Clipping is also a bit related to the guitar you use. The input pad could also have an effect, I typically have it on.

Hello I got my USB broken..so is there another way to get the information to forge that sounds...by the way..they sound just fantastic..and you use'em so perfectly..amazing...this is the real creations...thanks for the video.
No amp, the X3 is plugged in directly. I don't remember what the amp models were, probably Double Verb for the cleanest, Hiway 100 for semiclean and some Line6 originals for the distorted ones

Great work, I love hearing someone who puts the work in with a MFX unit and gets unique results. How do you find the HD500 compares? I've heard some people say they preferred the X3 for effects.
Andy Salvanos Thank you! It's weird that almost right after making this video I switched to the HD500 after almost 10 years of tweaking the patches. I've found HD500 exactly the opposite - better effects, but inferior amp modelings. Also the switching system with the presets is a lot better, you can use a switch to toggle many effects on and off at the same time. You can also arrange the effects in any order you like.
Antti Loponen i always come back to your videos for inspiration when i get into a sonic rut. After years of turning knobs i too have finally the sound i want out of the X3. I run the Joyo British sim in the fx loop for my "amp" and it sings.... Thanks for your vids.
This is great effect; I just bought an x3 live...will get it in few days. Hopefully I can find the way to create effects like these. I might get back to you with few questions!!! Did you created these from one that was already there that you tweaked or from scratch? Thank you and keep up your good work!
@AnttiLoponen Hey how are you? I finally got the X3 Live and go it. Tried your sounds. I really like them but for some reason there are a few that clip and the red light beside the pedal lights up. Do you know how to avoid that?

I have the hd 400 model but when I try to use this kind of synth sounds like yours, I am in a very difficult situation because if I play not perfectly clean and I hit not only one string, it is very bad, Mine is only a problem of bad touch of strings or there is some trick to use synth effects in a defined, precise, tidy way ???
Hey how are you? One quick question for you. I also found a HD400 so I don't know which one I should get.... The X3 is cool for dual tone and for your patch!!! but the HD400 has better sound and better effect apparently. Also my Girlfriend sings and play bass this is why I was thinking of the X3 Live....the goal is just to do our own little stuff in our home studio... any idea? Feedback that would help me make my decision?
@AnttiLoponen - I use Panda Antivirus which tells me your download site distributes Malware. Why not upload your tones to line6? Or do you have another goal? :-) Nice tones BTW.
Hard to say why they don't open. I don't have an XT/X3 device anymore so I cannot test it myself. Google for Consciousness Removal Project and check out my band.
Antti Loponen It's fine, Switching to tone 2 and the back to tone 1 seemed to fix it lol. Your tones have added so much to my compositions and playing. Thanks again!
