LINEAGE OF THE MESSIAH: Son of King David or Son of a Virgin Birth - is presented by Rabbi Yisroel Chaim Blumenthal, Director of www.JudaismResources.com
Two of the missionary's central claims about Jesus are incompatible, the argument that Jesus is from the royal line of David while claiming that he had no human father is an exercise in absurdity. According to the Jewish Bible, royal lineage must pass through the father's line. All missionary claims to the contrary are refuted by the prophetic narrator in the book of Kings (2 Kings 11:1).
JEWS FOR JUDAISM is an outreach organization whose primary goal is to win back to Judaism those Jews who have been influenced by the following six threats to Jewish survival that are devastating the global Jewish community.
1. Hebrew-Christian missionaries convert thousands of Jews worldwide every year
2. Destructive cults cause many Jews to abandon family, friends and careers
3. Eastern religions, Buddhism and Hinduism are spiritual choices for many Jews
4. Apathy and ignorance leave many Jews unaware, unaffiliated and assimilated
5. Intermarriage is exploding with a 75% rate in some North American cities
6. Anti-Israel BDS on campus inhibits Jewish students from standing up for Israel and Judaism
To assist non-Jews who have left other religions, JEWS FOR JUDAISM also provides educational programs to help them embrace the Torah’s Seven Noachide Laws for Gentiles.
We achieve our goals through our worldwide Internet outreach, Social Media, free educational programs, educational literature and counseling services that connect Jewish people to the spiritual depth, beauty and wisdom of Judaism.
“I am so grateful to have discovered the wonderful Jews for Judaism RU-vid lectures by Rabbi Skobac. I am a Jew who converted to Christianity in college, but now, thanks to your online outreach, I have returned to Judaism. Thank you.” - Rebecca G.
In a nutshell, Jews for Judaism saves Jewish lives and keeps Jews Jewish.

The real question setting logic aside is is the Messiah the son of King David or is the Messiah the son of God? Jesus is the insertion of Greek into our religion. A son of a God born of a virgin is a Greek concept.

Jesus' father was Joseph, from the house of David. I don't understand why people are SO emphatic on denying this.

The Messiah must be a physical descendant of the biological progenitor of King David’s lineage. Joseph did not father Jesus. According to the New Testament, it was God who fertilized Mary’s egg to create Jesus. Therefore, Joseph is not the father. Jesus is not a physical descendant from King David through the father’s line (even though Joseph adopted him). God is Jesus’ father. Jesus is God's son. It’s pretty simple, isn’t it?

maybe you are not thinking in this.. Jeremiah to joachim.. David and salomon line... So sorry youre wrong Jer 22:30: "Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah." Miriam gives the royal blood. And this is according to the word also.. Example: 1Chr 2:34-36: "Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha. And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai. And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,"

How then will you proove the Davidic lineage "when" the Messiah comes? There is no way you can proove a Davidic lineage today therefore The Messiah must have allready been here,not?

There are thousands of Jews today who can trace their lineage to King David, from father to son, all the way back to King David. For more information on this issue, please watch THE JEWSISH GENEALOGY RECORDS - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6ti4PKnQZFI.html

Interesting, but I can see some possilble responses coming from Christians: 1. Jesus was the adopted son of Joseph, and adopted sons had the same legal rights to inheritance. 2. And when he in addition was the physical descendant on his mother's side, he fullfilled both the legal side (father) and the "physical"/genetic side (mother). 3. It may also be (although I'm not aware of any evidence) that descendants from David tended to marry each other (as seen with Joseph and Mary), to avoid intermingeling too much with other bloodlines.

1. Adopted sons may have had the same legal inheritance rights to "some" property, but were totally disqualified from any connection to Tribal Geneology if they weren't born into it. So just as the adopted son of a priest, could not be a priest, and the adopted son of a king, could not be a king, so Jesus, could not be a king. 2. A Jewish mother could not pass on tribal lineage, only Jewish heritage as you can see in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1NEsHhG8U1o.html 3. There's no evidence of this allegation.

If immaculate conception is true then Mary was pledged/engaged to be married to Joseph. Yahweh concieved a child with Mary outside of marriage and Mary the sinner gave birth to the sinless. Joseph didn't give permission for his pledged wife to be with anyone else. Yahweh would have committed sexual immortality fornication at least with Mary against Joseph and on the boarder of adultery. Yahweh should have married Mary the sinner so he would not be having relations outside of marriage.

Please entertain my experience and reasoning and thank you so much for elaborating with your opinion and research and please have patience further with my suggestion. I truly appreciate all I can and have learnt from this channel. Since the destruction of all public records regarding the seed of David and Jewish ancestry it seems difficult to pinpoint the ancestors of King David and the family name he possessed. It is not a leap of faith to conclude that Kind David was An Ayer, we can determine this through Moses' interaction with Hashem in Exodus/Shemot 3: 13-14 and this can be elaborated upon if required. Furthermore, as the sages express, with anyone who teaches and reveals to anyone Torah is it not considered that they have begotten that person? Therefore considering all that you have stated it is quiet possible for the messiah, even if he is a gentile and not of the Davidic genetic line to be the son of David, providing he learns Torah from the intervention and suggestion of a David Ayer. He would become the heir from a virgin birth through Torah. Your thoughts please?

As per the Quran it’s said Zachariah was the Guardian of Mary, is there any evidence of this happening in Jewish scriptures or history? By the way I am a Noahide.
@JewsforJudaismCanada
@JewsforJudaismCanada 5 лет назад
No - there is no evidence that “Zachariah was the Guardian of Mary” in the Jewish Scriptures. There is no evidence to any of the claims of the Church in the Jewish Scriptures. Also, in response to your earlier question ”Was Paul a Jew?” The only evidence is that the New Testament states that Paul claimed to be a Jew. This is the only evidence we have for this. You must note that there is good reason to question the legitimacy of the New Testament in its entirety. 1 chronicles 2:34 Sheshan had no sons but only daughters and he gave his daughter to Jarha an egyptian as wife. They begat Attai which is shown in the bible to be from the line of Judah! Even tough his father is an egyptian. There are cases where tribal lineage are passed on by the mother as is the case here. The chapter shows the line of Judah and the sons of Jarha the egyptian are shown to be from that line because of the daughter of Sheshan

Dear Torah92, In an attempt to counter this argument (that according to the Jewish Bible, royal lineage must be patrilineal), missionaries claims that there is one scriptural passage that supports the theory that in some cases lineage could pass through the mother - namely;1Chronicles 2:34 - 36. Before we get to the passage in question, let us take stock of the context of the argument. Scripture consistently teaches that tribal and familial lineage flows through the male line. There are hundreds of verses which support this teaching. The episode described in 2Kings 11:1 - 3 clearly shows that royal lineage cannot pass through a female descendant even in the absence of a male descendant. So are we to assume that one isolated verse contradicts this consistent teaching and we should yet accept that tribal lineage could follow the mother in contradiction to the rest of scripture? Wouldn’t it be more reasonable to assume that we don’t understand the one verse in Chronicles rather than take this verse and assume that we don’t understand the rest of scripture? In any case, when we approach the passage that the missionaries have marshaled in support of their theory it becomes evident that, instead of sustaining their theory, this passage is perhaps the strongest refutation to their theory. 1Chronicles 2:25 begins by listing the descendants of Jerahmeel (mentioned previously in verse 2:9). In verse 33 the list concludes with the words "these were the children of Jerahmeel". After this concluding statement we are told that one of Jerahmeel’s great grandchildren (a fellow named Sheshan who was 7 generations removed from Jerahmeel) had no sons but a daughter who was given in marriage to an Egyptian slave. We are then given the lineage of this union (verses 35 - 41). But from the concluding statement in verse 33 it is made clear that the children of this union were not considered descendants of Jerahmeel. That list was closed in verse 33. So Sheshan’s grandchildren from his daughter were NOT considered a continuation of his family’s lineage. Again, scripture’s consistent teaching is that tribal lineage can only flow through the male line. Rabbi Yisroel C. Blumenthal
