Very informative video! I have so far never tried polyester threads as I think the ones I have seen looks plasticy and cheap. They don’t sell Tiger thread in shops here however so it may look better in real life than it does in online closeup photos (also plastic like and cheap imo). Having said that I do see the imperfections in my stitching work so perhaps I should give polyester a chance after all. If the results are uneven the effect will also be cheap I suppose. Anyway, I like this kind of videos, thanks!
Thanks! I think linen is already the best type of thread available so no need to change. Of the polyester Tiger is the most popular as it has a good amount of wax and is braided so there are no twisting issues. I would recommend either Tiger or Vinymo MBT as polyester threads to try out. I am planning a video comparing thread brands, mostly polyester so watch out for that one.
You are most welcome! Nylon thread has some issues with UV resistance so it is not suitable for outdoor use. Generally leather crafters only use either polyester or linen so I would recommend sticking to those.
