When you want to paint lines abstract art I can show you an interesting technique using white acrylic gesso, or gesso in any color. You can also look art modern line art and chose to paint like Kandinsky. Vasiliy Kandinskiy, or depending on the language you speak, Wassily Kandinsky composition VIII is an interesting artwork to look at for inspiration. In fact the whole series of Kandinsky compositions is interesting to look at for inspiration when you want to paint Kandinsky style. When you want to paint lines abstract art or abstract painting lines do think of the option to use organic lines in art or curved lines in art.
The video about the artwork on the wall behind me: • No idea what to paint?...
See Kandinsky draw/paint himself: • KANDINSKY DRAWING 1926
Materials
The art materials I use in the videos are not sponsored.
I prefer to work on multi-purpose paper, more info in this video: • How to choose the RIGH...
In almost all my videos I use with Winsor&Newton Galeria acrylics, if not, I will say so in the video.
Other materials I use are in random order: 5, 10 and 40mm brushes, palette knives, acrylics medium, Ecoline liquid watercolor, Lyra color pencils, Lyra soft pastels, oil pastels, Stabilo color pencils, paper palette pad and basic masking tape. I also use household items like a permanent marker, scrub sponge, scissors, paper towel, and so on.

A couple of days ago, I found your channel, and I instantly became a huge fan. I would like to thank you for the great work, the information about all those mega-artists, the fantastic inspiration, the clear and direct teaching, and the overall subtle sophistication. There is an artist whose work I would love to learn; it's Zao Wou Ki, an amazing Chinese artist, whose work is full of delicate finesse and dream-like depth. Once again, thank you and wish you a very happy new year!

Hi Albert. Here you did it again. Listening to, and watching you demonstrate is entertaining as well as inspiring and motivating. I very much agree that there is no point in copying other artist artwork. Yet, believe in learning their styles adapting them to suit your creativity. I guess that was in this vein that Picasso once said “bad artists copy, good artists steal”. Thanks for the energy and creativity that you put into creating this lesson.

Hi Salim, thanks. Just copying is not so exciting to me, I like the challenge to understand the style and make my own version. Thanks for your compliment / comment. Albert

Hi Christine, thanks. Looking longer can show or reveal so much. It is also interesting to take a longer look at your own artwork. Place it where you see it and suddenly you see what it needs to improve it. Have a happy day, Albert

#8 is one of my favorite Kandinsky paintings. Did you know he had synesthesia? People who have it can often taste or hear colors. In his case, colours and painted marks triggered particular sounds or musical notes and vice versa. There was an article about it when there was a London showing of his work, back in the before times. ;) www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/art/3653012/The-man-who-heard-his-paintbox-hiss.html

Hi Duckideva, thanks. Yes I knew about it. I sometimes see moving geometrical images when hearing music, but I don't know if that counts too. Must be fascinating to have an extra information source when being creative. Thanks for the link. I know Paul Klee also had it. Here's a link, maybe interesting to watch: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kLbPTI6bfC4.html Bye, Albert

I watchd a documentary recently that was a filming of a lecture who knew everything about kandinsky and more, Theres a book she recomended called 'the noisey toybox" or something long those lines. Ill see if I can find the documdntary and post it. Im sure you could find it through the many kandinsky documentaries
