Someone's got some moooonnaaaay in that motor/car. Wow. Optispark works 60% of the time, everytime. Love it! A driveshaft for a water pump? Crazy man! Good catxh on those exhaust gaskets. Nice work Rick!
Thanks man! Yea LT1s have some odd things about them. Some cool too like reverse flow cooling. Cools heads first then block! Can get away with more compression
Great video thanks brother. I like it great selection of parts. The exhaust gasket great find. Keep up the great work see you in the next video thanks again brother
Deltec ignition setup. Its been discontinued i believe. Was pretty good back in the day but still uses factory computer. Best would be a stand alone or a torque head / ecu swap for a better tune
Ive been meaning to call my machine shop I believe the crank is a forged skat 3.75" the rods are from lingenfelter but they look like forged Manley H beam rods. I would have liked to go with a heavier forged I beam if we were planning on an ecu swap and pushing it at the drag strip only. But the H-beams are pretty strong as long as you dont have a cylinder full of coolant and 7 others turning over. More chance of an Ibeam bending. The H beam cracks in half.
@@CamaroRickyes I looked up my old catalogs from delteq before they went out of business and that was one of the items they had ... it's a cover that goes over the stock opti ... it's a get system but if the brain box goes bad yourbshit out of luck trying to find a new one.. that's why I took it off the car
@@maldo72 Good to know for sure, I did not see any name on it. It was machined nicely though. On stock opti distributor cars I have used the billet opti from MSD with good results. Ive also used a lot of over the counter opti sparks with the mitsubishi sensor inside. Some work some fail prematurely. For best results make sure the vent lines are routed correctly. Should have an inlet and an outlet vent line on it. They are prone to moisture buildup that will corrode the sensor. On the Vettes its a pita to change so I always recommend the msd billet on them.
