Briefly mentioned was the effect of Bobby Johnson on that horrible Giants OL. Like the guest said, when the Ocean Liner is out to sea you can’t change much. They were stuck with a coach that could not piece together a coherent plan to stop one stunt or twist the entire season. JMS was playing with a shoulder injury and the guards on either side of him were Tomato Cans. Carmen Bricillo and a few added league average or above guards plus a Guard/Tackle flex in Elumenor will make a world of difference

the eagles were a top 8 offense last year in the NFL. They should be top 3 yes… but “disintegrate” seems like a stretch.

Is Jerry Jones selling the Cowboys?

Is any of this really relevant? "How they perceive the QB position." So Dak led the league in INTs despite missing 5 games in '22 due to how they perceived the position that year? Their Perceptions & not play-calling was responsible for that? _That's_ what you're going with? McCarthy has been a play-caller in the NFL for over a decade now. Has he even _not tightened up in tight games & called the _*_Worst Plays_*_ when he does so?_ What changes can you make to the roster that will change that? He called soft zone against the Lions late & tried to lose that game. The instant the Packers got an easy lead he abandoned all the good play-calls that won them games all season & replaced them with ones that allowed the Packers to build a bigger lead. The End. Sean McVay who *realizes* his play-calling suffers when he's stressed has hired an assistant for Exactly This Reason to keep him focused when he has trouble with that. I hope this trend catches on because this is the norm. Well over half the play-callers in the NFL have this same problem.

It does exist...an off-season review of the Giants 2023 season that hasn't devolved into unfounded Daniel Jones hate and gives an accurate, appropriate analysis of that team. It gets boring to say for an entire season and off-season, but the fact of the matter is that the offensive line play while DJ was in was so bad that it made the entire offense inoperable. You can't judge/analyze the play of the QB, WRs, or RBs that had to play with that offensive line. Will DJ be the guy? Who knows. But if you liked DJ after the 2022 season, there's absolutely no reason to think differently about him now--aside from injury concerns.
@rjharrold2907
@rjharrold2907 Месяц назад
The truth is 2022 was a limited offense that only worked so long and DJ isn't the guy to run a full top flight nfl offense if you want to be a real contender

@@rjharrold2907 I think we'll get that answer this year. I think the quick game in 2022 caught a lot of teams off guard, because that's not what Buffalo and KC were known for. KC's very good at it, but they only do it when they have to. In addition to catching defenses off guard I think the quick game also helped hide a lot of the offensive line struggles in 2022. Once teams figured out how to beat the quick game while maintaining their discipline against the run the Giants didn't have any other answers. I don't think we can put that on DJ yet, because in order to operate anything other than a very quick quick game you need your line to hold up for more than 2.25 seconds. This is the first year I think he should have an offensive line that's at least league average, and that's paired with a receiver group that can give him some quick answers. You could be right that he's not the guy, but I just don't think there's ever been enough around him to figure that out. This looks like the year year we get that answer.

You cant win paying Daniel jones 40 million a year to be the worst QB in the division. Im not trying to knock DJ… but hes likely the worst QB in the division which is fine if he’s on a rookie contract.
@brianbrodeur9037

@@Tmindful182 I'd definitely rather have DJ @ $40/year than Dak at $55 plus. I don't think there's that much separation between them and that's with DJ having a drastically worse team around him. When Hurts is healthy he's definitely an upgrade, but it feels like he ends up having shoulder issues late in the year pretty often--they might not take him out of games or land him on the injury report, but definitely has brought his play down towards the end of each year outside of the Superbowl run. And we'll see what Jaden Daniels turns into. He's got a good arm, seems like a mature leader and is a great straight line athlete. But that sounds a lot like DJ too haha I think the Giants made DJ's extension the way they did because they knew this is the year they'd finally be able to put a good enough team around him to actually find out what kind of QB he is.

@@brianbrodeur9037 maybe. if you truly believe Daniel jones can win you a Super Bowl by all means carry on. If not keep throwing darts until you get your guy & keep a stacked roster forever until you find him. If you think DJ can win a Super Bowl agree to disagree
