I get the feeling that the writers didn’t research who these characters are and just quickly glanced at their biographies from a DC handbook...actually given how Guy Gardna turned out even that’s giving them too much credit
The fact that Nash is actually on the Rotten Tomatoes page for Green Lantern at the start is a nice little detail you don't often see in reviews and sometimes even movies.
Dear god what did they do to the Justice League, I mean who wants to see the JLA battling the legions of Darkseid, foiling the latest scheme of Lex Luthor and the Injustice League, we want to see how the JLA reacts to missing the latest episode of Sienfeld
Well John Kassir did the voice of Adam the Clown from Dead Rising, and Monsoon from Metal Gear Rising: Revengence. Both are superior roles than the Atom.
"How do you screw up a concept as simple as Green Lantern?" Um, Green Lantern is not a simple concept. Green Lantern has arguably the most complicated mythology in all of the DC Universe.
That's what I was thinking. The Green Lantern mythos should have its own universe sometimes. For the most part, it's self contained, because everything happens in space, and the individual lantern corps themselves have perhaps the longest and complicated histories behind them in the DC universe. Just talking about the green lantern corps, no other corps, can get a newbie potentially confused.
@Caleb Mayfield More in the sense of "It could be it's own thing" rather than should, I suppose. There's so much lore, (I did my undergrad research on it) the GL mythos is almost the size of the rest of the DC world combined. It would probably make things simpler just for general story purposes to have separate universes. Of course, then we couldn't have justice league unlimited...
Say what you want about Brandon Routh and his discount Iron Man costume with Ant-Man's powers, at least his Atom suit is better than this Atom's styrofoam costume.
Still love how this American production butchered three Keaton era Batman masks in order to secure our heroes *cough* secret identities. Also that New Metro is once again poor Vancouver. Made Detroit via Robocop 2, San Francisco via 1996 film Doctor Who and Chicago for The Dresden Files. God I know too much TV and Film.
wow. I never realize it before . . .but Nash is REALLY funny. I never watched one of his typical vids, but in every appearance of his he always gets a chuckle out of me! Why have I never watched his vids before???
This movie. Just... this movie. I can't even comprehend how they could've screws this up. The Justice League would never stoop this low. How did " starts having a brain embellism"
As much as I love Miguel Ferrer, he's already the Weather Wizard. Not just that, he was wasted for this role. I could've easily seen John Cusack, and keep the name. Although then again, I see him more in the 90s Flash show with John Wesley Shipp.
17:55 In hindsight, this part of the episode looks and sounds eerily like a Matt Hoss "how to creepily pick up women who just want to run away screaming from you."
О, наконец-то перевели что-то из Нэша) Спасибо вам. Хотелось бы больше. У них совместно с Линкарой и Филм Брейном ещё на пилот несостоявшегося сериала про "Чудо-Женщину" ревью есть.
@5:53-6:01 Continuity Alarm: AHHHN! AHHHN! AHHHN! AHHHN! AHHHN! AHHHN! AHHHN! AHHHN! AHHHN! Nash: Did I set off the Continuity alarm? Linkara: You DID in fact set it off, yes.

I can't believe this unaired JLA pilot is over twenty years old.
"Meanwhile, back at the plot-" "There is a plot?" The exact thought I had after watching Suicide Squad. P.S. Same reaction after heard there was an Ayer-Cut. Stop promoting half-assed filmmakers, people!
I know "I just have to go turn into the hulk now, excuse me" was a joke, but if a Hulk movie/TV show featuring a young Miguel Ferrer as Bruce Banner existed, I'd watch the hell out of it.
An episode of the power rangers had better production values than this! This makes me long for reruns of Superboy. Even Wonder Woman had much more care in her show.
"You may remember John Kassir as the voice of the Crypt Keeper. And absolutely nothing else." Me: "Not true. We also know him from the memes. THE MEMES." (and as much as I love Nolan North in the role, Kassir's probably my favorite Deadpool as well)
Ok, stupid question. If word went out that the Flash was looking for a job, WOULDN'T EVERY FUCKING COURIER SERVICE, FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE, AND POSTAL SERVICE BE LINING UP TO GET HIM!!!!!!!
Also, I'm not sure which I find more laughably terrible; the Justice League KIDNAPPING an innocent woman, or the fact that they return her home instead of finding out important information. Yes, I know Tori won't have anything helpful, but you think the Justice League knows that?
As a UK resident i should add that that logo on the top left of the screen is from the British channel "channel 5" [yeah imaginative] - and this was only ever aired once on it, and indeed in the the UK ever.
realistically speaking having uncontrolled ice powers would suck even more than Frozen would lead you to believe. If you inadvertently freeze any body of water near you than you're going to freeze any human near you to death too. Not to mention the heat exchange from such a sudden process would surely result in a blast of intense heat off whatever you freeze, maybe even combustion.
To be fair, I do know John Kassir for some other things besides the Cryptkeeper: Adam the Clown from Dead Rising, Ralph from the off-Broadway version of the Reefer Madness musical, Buster Bunny in the last few episodes of Tiny Toons, and at one point he was Deadpool.
The worst part? Martian Manhunter is played by one of my fave actors, M*A*S*H* alumnus David Ogden Stiers, who did a terrific turn on ST:TNG, and was Solovar in the JL animated. I can see John Kassir's Cryptkeeper after showing this POS : Cryptkeeper : KIddies...I'd like to apologize for that one. Normally, I enjoy taking you for a ride through DEEPEST DARKEST HELL....but that was just uncalled for. I mean, they banned my comics but they made this?
"...это научит тебя унижать "Time and the Rani"...". Наверно здесь "уважать" , потому что Time это первая серия Седьмого Доктора и Линкара его известный и как видно яростный поклонник)
Years later, we have the Justice League debuting in Batman V Superman instead of their own separate movies and DC having a "no jokes" policy. Frankly this movie here seems more enjoyable
The no jokes policy was debunked, and so what if we don't have to wait for seven movies to get the Justice League? The League showing up and then getting their own movies is fine, following a Marvel formula is not a necessity.
***** It just seems like they're wanting to make a "Not Quite Justice League" just to increase ticket sales and not because they actually care about their own characters
I suppose that's a possibility, it certainly may end up as just a 2 hour trailer for the Justice League. But the probability of finally getting a proper Batman has me too excited to not remain optimistic xD
before I watched this, I'd never heard there was a Justice League Movie. Although, before I saw the nineties version of the Captain America movie review, I hadn't heard of that either.
If you really hate yourself, check out 1979's Legends of the Superheroes. It was an awful attempt at a live action Super Friends (with Captain Marvel and Huntress in place of Superman and Wonder Woman). The only thing that kind of makes it a curiosity to watch is Adam West, Burt Ward, and Frank Gorshin reprise their roles from the 60s Batman. The novelty wears off very quickly.
What is MOST fascinating about this, for a lack of a more appropriate word, MOVIE, is the fact that David Krumholtz and Miguel Ferrer gained respect from the TV and MOVIE community (and had a real career) some 3-5 years AFTER THIS PIG SH^T of a movie. But hey, everyone's gotta start from somewhere, although Ferrer is a more experienced and older actor that David. So...there :D
Is it wrong that I actually like this more than the dceu version I mean at least they had the decency to film this in an actual city and actual grass and didn’t just film the entire thing on a green screen with some added cgi effects
As for the Flash, it would have been MUCH better if they had kept going with the 1990 show with John Wesley Shipp as Barry. A better TV show, better actors, cast, and yes, effects too. But, FORTUNATELY, we have CW's The Flash TV show, which will debut its second season in October. the CW will, of course, have a large panel at this year's Comic Con in San Diego, in July :)
Guy's meant to be a combination of all of them. Guy's suit, Kyle's crab mask and gauntlet on his left hand and GL symbol, Hal's ladies man personality and his origin is similar to Alan Scott's (he found the ring instead of being chosen by the GLC. Plus his ring is shaped like Alan's)
