I've been searching on how to share (exissting) content as a sponsored post and have watched a few of your videos. Really interesting and I love the way you explain things. Totally new to LI advertising and trying to get my head around it! We've done Google up until very recently and now wanting to go LI route. You've explained things I'd never thought of - thank you.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you're getting into it and the teaching style is up your alley! I wouldn't recommend sharing existing content, generally. (We create a brand new ad in each campaign so that all performance can be tracked.) That being said, when you get to the ad section of your campaign, you can simply select 'Browse Existing Content' instead of 'Create New Ad' and that'll get you there.
@@AJWilcox Great - thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Ah that's interesting about the existing content. (I had seen that you can browse existing content, but when I looked it said I had none even though I have). But good that the performance can be tracked with a new ad. We'll do that. :)
@@RedrocketstudioUk Sometimes it says you have none because of the objective you choose. For instance, if you didn't have any existing posts with links, then none would show up if you had a Website Visits objective. I like the idea of creating a brand new ad where you can attribute all the performance, though!
I don't like to generalize without data proofs in hand but I personally beleive that Google ads increase probability of purchase for B2C while Linkedin is more effective in the B2B arena.
Yeah, painting with really broad strokes. There are lots of B2B companies who do extremely well on Google Ads and great B2C uses for LinkedIn Ads. But in general, I think it's a fair assumption.
I'd suggest starting with Bing Ads, actually! They're really similar to Google and competition is much lower, so you'll probably pay half as much. If you do really well, it'll be really easy to migrate over to Google. I think LinkedIn would be a hard channel to use just because the costs are so high. You'd need to charge a lot for resume writing to get a return on your investment.
Thanks! And great question. Twitter's targeting makes it tough from a B2B perspective, especially because it doesn't allow us to target by words in the bio. The two major types of targeting that are useful there in B2B are 1) Targeting hashtags of relevant events and 2) Targeting followers of an industry evangelist who would tend to have followers in the same field. I think twitter can play a role, but I would probably invest my efforts first in LinkedIn and Google.

Hi, I find your video very interesting. I would like to get some more insights about real estate ads, as you can't target as much as you can for regular ads. Thanks for your advice on this type of ads on Linkedin
Real estate is tough - I wouldn't advertise commercial real estate on LinkedIn (unless it was a multi-million-dollar property and you knew getting it in front of rich executives would be the right audience). Google is nice because of the geolocation targeting, but not enough experience in real estate to give you much more guidance than that.
Is the minimum CPC on Linkdin text ads $2? I need to be at 25 cents per click for my business. I am already using Google and Bing. Any others worth a try?
The MQL/SQL stages of the sales process are totally determined by each sales team, so there isn't one answer here, but I would say it makes sense. We bring clients on regularly that aren't the decision-maker, but they pitch us internally to their team and we partner up. So for our process, I would say so, but other sales teams may not.
Absolutely Cedric! They work great together! I get asked all the time which one people should be using, but if you've got the budget, they really work hand in hand. Plus the leads they generate are quite different and sales teams usually appreciate variety.
