@@wottenadI’m looking for something that “does is all” so to speak. There’s gotta be something that gives us the size AND all the functionality and capabilities without sacrificing any of our needed and wanted features 🤦🏽♂️
Can you update android to the newest version when they come out? And when playing music is it stereo or mono, does it sound better then the factory radio?
Is there an installation video for the GMC/Chevy? Its cool showimg the demo and all but I am going from a Gen 3 to this and all the plugs are notlining up.
@roberts3180 I called u back after I seen your video and the only thing I didn't do was press that reset but you told me about near the volume button and the sim card worked
Looks awesome, so i have a 2020 ram 1500 crew i was looking at the xl linkswell. So you can watch netflix while truck is moving long as you use your wifi hotspot? I also have a loc using to get a signal for my sub amp. Since this linkswell has rca outputs would i jus leave my line out converter as is or would i need to use the rca outs on the linkswell? Does this xl have any problems freezing up or running slow after awhile? Would be awesome if you could run the video while driving
If your building a new unit why not add more memory or hard drive space then phoenix automotive if you wanna sell more products, you run the same specs except a bigger screen, not enough to want to make me go from phoenix to you guys, kinda a waste of time building this unit if you ask me,should have added 256gig or even 500 internal drive
Does this unit use the factory mic or aftermarket mic? These android tablet radios normally use an aftermarket mic that comes with the unit and anytime you are on the phone using CarPlay people complain about you sounding like your under water.
It uses an aftermarket mic that is supplied with it. If you install it where we recommend (near the rearview mirror, zip-tied to the harness and not clipped to the headliner) it sounds as good or better than the factory mic. Can't use the factory mic because that stays connected to OnStar.
Looks like there's a 4 video input switch that I could get. So... Could I connect the front camera to the front camera input, and then this 4 port switch to the right camera input (which would run the left, right, cargo, and trailer cams). Would I be able to override the rear camera and switch to the "right camera" input to run my cargo or trailer cams?
@@roberts3180 I'm not knocking the knob. I'm not a fan of the placement. They could have moved it completely below the screen rather than right thru the middle of it.
So I just bought this screen and had installed. Furious that after yiu spend 2K they want $129 to buy an adaptor so you can add a HDMI in. I am upgrading from Linkswell Gen 4. Really upset that the cable wasn't included. Support from Linkswells response. I should have known better and I can return to my dealer. Geeez. That is the Support I get after 2 radios and tons of money? I will be returning
@jonbaker5423 yeah they are wrong for that. 2k is alot of money for this I get there's a bunch of technology but come o linkswell give us the pieces we need to get up an going
@mike-le2xp right? I bought and am returning as many bugs and the linkswell techs are stumped. For 2k I expect better than finger pointing. Alpine is smaller but more stable. I need function over form
@@mike-le2xpcheck out 12:34 in his video. The widget that is supposed to show the truck angle for example shows the truck straight up. Clearly he isn't on a hill at almost 90 degrees. I found out tonight that those widgets for the vehicle are useless and probably not connected to the truck.
