Could i use the Linksys WRT 3200ACM as a wifi range extender. I have a netgear ex6200 range extender that i just got yesterday that keeps cutting out which im planning on taking it back to were i bought it from (this is my second one as my first one died within a year and 5 months). I cant run Ethernet in my house so I need Ethernet ports for my home lab servers.

i would like to get rid of my IP provided modem. what kind of modem you'd advise to buy to match this beast?

Am i able to use the original modem as well or the router will cancel it?

I have WRT 1200AC. Is it good decision is upgrade it to WRT 3200? I do not have issue with speed, just interesting does 1200 and 3200 has the same WPN or 3200 is with more option (support of certificate and so on)?

I have the same setup you do, however I'm running into problems with a strict nat type/ double nat as it's running through the order Modem. Is there a way to get this to bridge to the modem as I've checked the settings and can't seem to find any options?

If I reset my router to default state am I able to get into the Linksys interface to redo all my info to set up wifi?

The internet light on my router I wanna say was blue now it is solid orange, I have read that this might be due to configuration issues? HELP? how can I fix this issue? internet has been dropping the signal often, the modem seems to be working just fine any ideas how I can fix this issue, I don't want to buy a new router!!

Hey Geek, hope you have a chance to respond. I am on the market for a new router. I have an old Linksys that even when in the same room, drops connectivity. I was considering the WRT32x or the 3200ACM. This is for a small home that doesn't do much gaming. The gaming console is actually close enough to wire directly to the router. I want to get NordVPN and install it into the router to protect every device in the house. My main concern is signal strength since even 30 feet away my family has a hard time connecting to my current router when they are in the living room. We have a comp and PS4 wired directly, 3 phones, a FireStick and a wireless DirecTV receiver. Which would you recommend? Both seem to be going for about the same price depending where I buy them. Thank you for your time!

OK I have a question for You. I already have a Modem/Router supplied by my IP Provider. Now will this Router work upstairs in my Brothers apartment then to be plugged into a Linksey Wi-Fi Extender? I'm not sure if this router will work in conjunction with the Modem/Router I currently have???? Meaning will they work together to make a strong connection?

No idea what just happened, so I will resend: Sir, I have this router (received it as a gift and have not used it) but now, I have a need for a wifi extender: is this unit capable of being a wifi extender? Hey, have you had any issues with this unit? So far I like it. I've loaded it with DD-WRT as well.. My main problem is this, when it's running and working it is BLAZING fast. For many devices. Speed test on wifi for WAN show full 25mbps (or close) but then for some unknown reason, it locks up out of nowhere... The wifi becomes unconnectable or the WAN speeds drop to like 4-15mbps. A reboot solves the problem but like 30mins to 2hrs later.. same problem. I do not know what keeps causing it... The LAN always works perfectly without any issues. It's just the wifi. I am going to swap it for a new one in case maybe I have faulty hardware? I have tried numerous config settings and nothing.. it seems to be just glitchy on the wifi. have you had this experience?

BUT, and they are dragging their heels, they have only just provided 2 days later my login and password details. But WHERE do I enter these on a MAC? I've looked and looked and cannot find out where to enter them.
