Zenwalk was the first distro I really loved, about 15 years ago. Then I switched to other distros because of the slow development in a time of rapid changes but I should give it a try again

The thing about Slackware is the it's very slow paced on dev side, always has been , but with the containerized apps now a days, it kinda levels the playing fields.

Curious why they don’t have xfce4-terminal since it’s running XFCE. Interesting distro though.

I used to like Zenwalk in its early days. It's what I used two decades ago when I ditched Windows. I used it for several versions before experimenting with Debian and Ubuntu based distros. Zenwalk, as it is now, is practically unrecognizable. It was probably last good around 6.0 or 7.0. These days, Salix seems to out-Zen Zenwalk itself. I did an install of the latest version in a VM and it didn't even have a network connection. I haven't seen something that bad in at least twenty years, on real hardware *or* VMs! Sad to see such a once-great distro end up so... bad.
