Lionel was and is my favorite singer since he started back in the 70s. Every song he writes and sings is Good. He is truly gifted by God and I do hope he realizes that. His songs got me through many troubled times and I also believed he was singing to me! Thank you Lionel, for being obedient to what you were called to do. Bless and Love you forever.

Had the honor of working a closed bar party in Birmingham, Alabama with the Commodores. Then to see his concert in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. That concert was amazing. He is so unselfish. He had a 3 ring circus at all times on his stage, it's the best performance I have seen and that was 40 years ago and many concerts later. He has always stayed true to himself. Nicest guy. Spoke to me as a young bartender as nice as if I was a star! I just love people who can see past racism and prejeduce. I am raised not far from his home town. We all just thought we were people. Yet Alabama is known as so racist.
Yes! I had honeysuckle growing on the side of my fence at the house in Dallas where I grew up. I can relate to lots of things you bring up about your life, love you Lionel! ❤

Fighter"the man for the real wife he have lot of dreaming for the lady"but I don't know who he like?he never with us...they final live in to next live in patner"but the man he no have experience to live in to real true love being wife.
It's great that he has been able to continue live touring for so many years. Shows his longevity 😊 I do love Lionel, but really have to laugh at him thinking he was in competition with Michael Jackson. Does he live on another planet? 😂 He was never anywhere near that level. The delusion is real... And I'm pretty sure it was external influences that "destroyed" the man, including his death at the hands of SOMEONE ELSE. Did Lionel not catch that? I hope one day his own death isn't ruled a homicide in case his "friends" do this... And also, propofol is not used as a painkiller, it's an anaesthetic 😑😑😑 I like Lionel's songs, they're the ultimate karaoke songs lol.
If you really actually listened to the interview he said it was a friendly competition between friends and Michael's success made him reach higher and try to be better not trying or thinking he was better than Michael. As far as what happened to Michael he wasn't saying anything negative he was just saying how after getting burned that once he started taking the painkillers which can be addictive that was what eventually brought him down along with the pressure of the tremendous fame he had. Lionel said hisself that if his dad hadn't got sick he probably would of succumbed to the fame. He wasn't saying anything bad about him. They were good friends.
When Lionel spoke about "friendly competition" between himself and his good friend Michael Jackson, he was referring to the idea that "iron sharpens iron." He and Michael admired, learned and gleamed from each other. Lionel meant nothing negative as you implied, nor is he saying their music/entertainment was in competition.
