His theme starts of enchanting then gets aggressive real fast. That sounds about right for Adam.

It's funny thinking about Adam singing this to a crowd of White Fang to motivate them or something while he has a few White Fang elites behind him just shredding the drums and the guitars

Love it when someone makes an antagonist that's basically correct but is also an egotist who kills people for no reason.

I would have liked Adam a lot more in the end if he hadn't completely abandoned the White Fang at the Battle of Haven, and then focused completely on his obsession with Blake. I do like how Blake and Yang teamed up to beat him, but I just wish it hadn't been at the end of him stalking Blake for so long. Basically, I feel like Shushi Princess from VGHS: "What happened to you [Adam]? You used to be my hero. You used to be the best. Then [Blake] gave you cooties, and you've sucked ever since."

Even without adam in volume 7 just imagine him being in rwby chibi..

It crazy how Lionized and Hero sounds so similar to each other Adam wanted revenge on the humans for what they did to him and his kind and Ironwood wanted to protect the people he loves No Mattter What. However both of them changed for worst at the process of reaching their goal. Adam became crazy and heartless willing to kill the people who was closest to him to achieve his revenge and Ironwood lost his humanity and trust and become the very thing he was trying to defeated. Such a tragedy in my eyes Ironwood is what Adam should have been a sympathetic character that we understand where they’re coming from but at the same time we’re against them but still want them to better

I got more of Adam's story from this song than his entire screentime on RWBY

I love how aggressive it is.

Before Simon Laurent of the Apex from Infinity Train, there was Adam Taurus of the White Fang from RWBY. Both tragic victims who fell of the deep end for being consumed by vengeace and their desire to be completly lionized.

Man, the enthralling intro felt as if a child was dreaming.

Wish they went with the Virgil route with him rather than the abusive boyfriend route.

It seems the song about Adam's own goals from V1-2 as he was supposed to be a somewhat anti-heroic/villainess extremist instead what he is on later seasons (including near the end of V3) as he was portrayed as whiny godwannbe, narcissistic and obsessive ex-boyfriend. This song wasn't even implied obsessing over Blake nor killing his own race for no reason in particular, he only view Blake as his student and he didn't mind her leaving from White Fang, and he had do anything for his race to make a better world while killing or hurting innocent humans. Not to mention the writers didn't even bother to give Adam a full backstory, despite him using his bad life as excuse to hurt other people, similar to Cinder's (for what I heard). And/or they didn't bother give his (supposed) interactions towards Weiss and Penny respectively, other than Blake nor Yang, even if he met and fought Sun in V4. He could have potential, but in the end, he's nothing more than a filler puppet to Bumblebee ship as a canon one to ever exist. Yep. Wasted potential, indeed.

Strong enough to overcome the oppressor, but lacking the strength to overcome his own hatred. Resulting in as some would put it the embodiment of the word spite... With enough power to take on a leading role and see his will through.

CRWBY did Adam dirty by making him a cartoonishly evil villain just to justify everything Team RWBY does like they did Ironwood more recently.

So where exactly is the lyric where he's obsessed with a girl?

I remember singing this in front of all my school with a mic and everything as part of a talent show (I missed the bad singing competition the day prior) and i really wanted to sing this song, my voice sounded like i was yawning as i sung it and my voice cracked at the last word, but i don't regret one bit singing it.

Lionized is a perfect song for Adam. Imagine this song is for Bakugo as a villain.

Lionized, what a beautiful word

Ive been listening to this and Hero now that its out and it made me realize something. Both have the exact same feel to them. Each are by a person who views themselves as the hero and both are made to at first raise said character up but as it goes on it starts breaking down into their true nature. Lionize is Adam seeing himself as a Martyr and hero against humans but slowly falls into his ego and power hunger as well as bloodlust and pure hatred and Hero is about ironwood sacrificing things he sees as his own to sacrifice but you realize this turns out to be things that isnt just his to sacrifice and is the peoples too like their rights and lives. Adam is a Mad king type character who will make people fight the whole world for his view and Ironwood is a Clueless tyrant who thinks hes doing the right thing but causes the suffering hes trying to stop

Ah, I see. Despite the lyrics clearly mentioning the Faunus being oppressed and fighting back, there are also clear lines that simply show Adam's ego. "I'll be glorified", "I'm their hero", "I'm their savior", "I am the path to reclamation".

Man, I can’t help but, feel bad for Adam. Like yeah he did quite a lot of immoral actions and it’s unforgivable. But, he was abused, tortured, and even enslaved as a child (which the ‘all sorts of ways’ from Adam now really rubs me the wrong way good lord...) When he killed that human he felt guilt, but he also was rewarded for it. He was given validation he never really gotten as a child. That’s why he craved for more of it, and he ends up believing how he’s this grand savior of the Faunus because Sienna and the new White Fang kept encouraging and showering him with praise for it. TLDR- Tragic character, but shitty Faunus being.

This is what I mean when I say this soundtrack has some of RWBY's most colorful instrumentation. You can hear his descent into madness. At first, you hear the demented lyrics, but it's still in this 3/4 death waltz that makes him seem like a ruler witb an iron fist, not a radical lunatic. Then immediately after the first chorus it switches to 4/4, and it goes crazy. You hear the enraged guitar solo, and you get the sense that this is where he just jumps off the deep end. Then it switches to 5/4 for a quick moment on the pre-chorus, completely flipping the song as its now all about him, and how he wants his enemies to up and die. The chords used make the "Destroy them all" lines sound almost happy? Like Adam will enjoy their pain. Almost like a demented cry for help. Then at the very end of the song you hear all the instruments desync, and I think this is supposed to symbolize his death. This song sounds completely different from anything we've ever heard from Jeff or Casey, and if you think this is just another "samey" RWBY song you either don't have a very musical ear or you're just not paying attention. This song is easily top 3 on the entire soundtrack. V6 really did give Adam the best possible send-off.

This song really makes me sympathize with Adam. Yes, his goals and ideals are flawed and wrong, but he had good intentions behind them. He wanted to fight back against those who made him their thrall. However, he began to develop a vernacular idea about all humans based on those that enslaved, tortured, insulted, reviled, and abused him. His story is just so sad. He really is a "boy who lost his way".

Adam... how far you have fallen. At first his goals were noble, but as he was recognized for his strength and as he grew the White Fang, they instilled him as a leader, and his goals shifted. He broke down to the basest form, he was reduced by the pressure of that power, and as his will rose to do what he believed was right, the effects of his good intentions began to crack him, to break him, bringing him to what he became. He lacked the vision to lead, he had will, but not wisdom. The path to hell is paved with good intentions, and it applies to him more then anything. in the end, he just lost his way, and forgot his roots.

Huh....this song really shows a second perspective to Adam we never got before, we've seen him from mostly Blake's Perspective but this song (and the final fight) shows his more painful side, this song also greatly portrays his ego "I'm their Hero, I'll be lionized" and "I'm your Savior, I'll be Lionized" are fantastic examples of his more open sides, he's never hidden his arrogance before but now it's on full display with his rage. He's justified in his rage and I can't say I wouldn't be in a similar mindset but it's the original head of the white fang who gave him the ego he has, she gave him praise for his first kill, she rewarded his ruthlessness until he became a main figurehead of the organization. It kinda makes sense he'd grow to view himself as a hero.

I like this song because not only does it show case Adam’s mental decline. But it also shows how seductive Adam is as a leader. How people can look up to him with hope only for that mentally scarred mind to pursue selfish needs. Adam shouldve been a great hero, yet he became a beast.

I've got a bad feeling we haven't seen the last of him and I have a pretty dark theory to back that up. With Taurus being such a well of negative emotion (hate, rage, anger, etc.) he would've caught the attention of Salem somehow and after he helped Cinder, it's possible that Salem had plans to have him work in her "inner circle." But after he died, Salem had lost a massive asset, so would it be possible that either Salem or Cinder could "resurrect" him? Adam wouldn't be himself anymore, he would be completely consumed by rage and a hunger for vengeance, making him the perfect candidate for a next step in hybridizing organic and grimm beings, after Cinder with her grimm arm!

you know, it's sad, if adam didn't go down that path of bloodshed and stuff, maybe he would've been the White Fang's hero and savior.

When you think aout it. Adam is just Shirou Emiya but his goals are twisted by years of abuse and discrimination.

It's always the character themes that get me to like and love the character even if they are seen as the villains.

The intro of this song is enough to give me chills sometimes. Then you add the rest of the song in and I'm in absolute love with the story it tells.

I’ve never really payed attention to or listened to this song before the soundtrack and now that I’ve fully listened to it this is absolutely my type of song

Extremely emotional villains are inherently harder for the audience to take seriously so Adam really needed more development/time in the oven for him to be fully realized and feared by the fan base. Despite this I still feared him, just because he’s emotionally immature doesn’t make him less dangerous, it makes him more dangerous. A child with ridiculous skill and a dummy broken semblance is terrifying.
