I’ve seen journey twice and Jesus guys the fact he’s even that close to Steve Perry is incredible. He sounds absolutely unreal live and to replace a voice like that they did a damn good job. Is he the original? No but any good music lover will still appreciate the music and especially with vocals that close. To anyone who wants to argue their point, watch journey then watch deep purple with their original singer and get back to me. I’d rather an artist who tries and does well rather than one that just should retire
I totally agree with you, i saw Journey last year( 2023) and Arnel Pineda;'s super energetic and true, absolutely sounds amazing!! It's worth every penny to see him at the venue!!
I totally agree,,it's been more than 30 years since SP left, and it's a good thing that there was a successful frontman of Journey, his name is Arnel Pineda who has been the lead singer for 17 years to this day..Without a successful lead singer performing on shows/Live Concerts, usually, the music fades away along with the band, so thanks for this guy who kept the legacy alive!
Wow, Arnel can fill those Perry shoes like nobody's business. People need to get over the fact that Perry, God bless him, is a pale imitation of what he once was. He can't measure up to the standard he set, so...what's the band supposed to do? Stop playing? Arnel is absolutely amazing. Too bad we don't hear more of the band's more recent tunes. They're great.
@@blakefrei3015 Wrong. You have no clue what you're talking about. No way you can objectively know who a total stranger likes or doesn't like. Blessings to you either way. Main point is, the Niners drank that Space Jam water at halftime, came back & won.
@@blakefrei3015 Sooner or later, most singers do. Has nothing to do with the actual game & a complete red herring. But since when does ANYBODY in yt comment sections have a clue about staying on topic? No time that I remember. 🤷♂️
I’m so glad you put this up! I was so mad about the first half and wanted to get that bay Journey vibe rocking for the 2nd half and F’in Fox well everyone at home knows WE WERE ROBBED!!
I love Neil's jacket! NINERS DID NOT stop believing. The second half they STOMPED Detroit! Niners Win.. Lions Lose... Gered Goff will sing the blues! Oh the winning never ends it goes ON and ON and ON and ON!
The lead singer is Arnel Pineda. He's been with Journey for at least 10 years now. He was hand picked as he has the chops to come as close to Steve Perry.
@@jonpyle3727, I believe there's a documentary from PBS done a few years ago I remember watching. When Journey was conducted into the Hall of Fame, it was Steve Perry who accepted.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3DdcBfObvio.html Heartbroken we didn't clinch the Super Bowl title, but proud of the fierce battle we put up. Let's not forget our triumph in the NFC Championship game and the unforgettable halftime performance by Journey. "Don't Stop Believin'" - that's our mantra moving forward.
The energy in the stadium at half time, was, not, that energetic. They should have played at the end of the game. Now that was some energy!!! GO NINERS!!!!!
Wasn't that Howie Long that said whose Journey? I think it was and he was being silly because he knows who Journey is being he played in the Bay Area for the Oakland/LA Raiders for 13 years. He knows who they are.
Journey is great and still a headline act when I saw them in concert with Heart and Cheap Trick. Who died since he left Journey is Steve Perry. Arnel Pineda has been with the band since 2007 and does a great job with Journey;s classics, that's a long time and a lot of success for a band that "died".
@@jonathanlund590 yeah right. A true journey fan like me would know the difference a mile away. Put Steve Perry and Arnel side by side singing and you would know the difference. Give me a break.
