Wayne Green no.. the buffalos traveled too far... and they got the calf on the ground quick.. the buffalos had a tight formation but it got exposed as they covered more ground
These two lionesses aren't too bright, they don't support one another. When one grabs the calf, the other one doesn't come in a defend against the adult buffaloes that are trying to drive her off. I guess this is why they say that tigers are the more intelligent tacticians. Btw what is the go with the lead buffaloes balls at 2:35? HUGE!!!!!
A Jay you cannot be serious, they played that herd perfectly, and they used the calf as a shield, that was one of the most intelligent hunts I've ever seen. Also did they get their prey? I guess results don't matter to you.
From the first time tourists started using vehicles to seek out wildlife in Africa, lions learned to use them to their advantage. I've seen lions in Ngorngoro stalk wildebeest parallel a line of safari 4x4's, using the vehicles to conceal their approach from the herd. Meanwhile, count the number of lions vs. the number of cape buffalo. The former are endanger; the latter are not.
Great video. The lions got what they wanted. Buffalos are huge creatures with wuss dispositions. All that was needed was for a few to encircle a lion with a captured calf and gore the lion a few times. This would send the appropriate message.
Inhuman tourists hampered the rescue efforts of buffalo’s by way of blocking their path with their huge convoy of vehicles and thus helped the lions in catching their prey.
Ok the calf might have died, but those vehicles obstructed the buffalo from returning as they might have again!!!! Ridiculous! Guess all the tourists wanted a good shot so..... tough.
Haha, the music man.. I bet the author was sooo amazed seeing a lion in the wild that he put the epic music, next time when you see a chicken, put "the conquest of paradise", very silly...
What I want to know is what the hell is that basketball sized thing hanging off the stomach of the Buffalo that’s fighting the lion off during the first minute of the video? A tumor? A fanny pack? Yikes.
