Hey Urban Knife Guy, Nice video! This is a great perspective - so important to use the right tool for the job! So many knife review videos out there trying to use smaller blades for tasks they were not designed to perform! Like you said, it's fine if you're in a survival situation, but if you're camping and have a access to a saw, ax or parang - use it! So much time and effort saved! As I've mentioned to you before, I love almost everything Lion Steel makes, but the M4 is really a great size for smaller-edc tasks. I actually bought three M4's in walnut, santos, and olive wood - just because the wood grain is so beautiful! I'm getting close to finishing my Lion Steel collection - I just "need" an M7 and an H2! I think I'll also get a Warhorse Barlow for fun as well! Thanks for another excellent demo and review!

@@urbanknifeguy LOL - Thanks! I'm the one who's envious of YOU because you actually get to go out and USE your knives in the jungles of Malaysia! The knife laws in Singapore are so strict, so I never dare to take any of my knives outside the house!👮‍♂🚔 My wife reminds me of this fact often - whenever I want to buy new knives! I'm just stockpiling them for some future day when I move back to the USA! So sad - I have all these cool blades, and my EDC (in my bag) is a BLADELESS Gerber Multi-tool (MP600)! 🙄🤦‍♂ If I ever need to make a campfire in my condo, I'm set man!😆

@ExtraCrispy357 If you ever want to go off trail at Bukit Timah, I am game. I've never been before but there are remote places enough to bushcraft. And SG laws will allow us to carry fixed blades for that purpose.

I looked at what I think was the Lionsteel 6 ? I ended up buying the Exterma Ratio Selvans. Bigger blade. I hate seeing people batoning where they have to keep hitting the front part of the blade. In a pinch the Selvans is more than capable but I have a proper tool for that. I have a custom Nepalese made Khukri and it's big enough to hack at anything, much like your parang. The blade is think enough that you can just pound away on it with worrying it would fail.

Thanks for sharing! Selvans is a big blade. Personally, I wish they would give a better steel (on paper). But I've never handled it so maybe it suffices!
