What I mean is that, I took lots of references for my animation, but sometimes it is impossible to take all the references due to I am changing my acting a lot to make a better animation. and... actually, it is not working properly. Do you have a tutorial on figuring out emotions from facial expressions? You said you should be able to clearly tell what the emotion is from the mouth movements, but I usually have to ask how someone is feeling to know For context, my only knowledge of emotional facial expressions are from 2D animation, which isn't 1 to 1 with real life expression. It's part of why I prefer online friends; I don't have to play emotional minesweeper with someone who assumes I can just "tell."
