loved your videos up to this point, two sponsored product suites and very little content made me a bit skeptical now. Would really like to learn more about the "why" these products are used in future videos. Adding up the number of bags, bottles, and sprays - seems now over the top for average lawns
Hey Scott, you absolutely don't need all of these products. YM reached out to me and offered to send me these products for free, and I accepted them because I'm always looking to push my lawn to the next level. In my opinion, the primary products that you need for a really nice lawn are whatever granular fertilizer best suits your lawn and a liquid iron product. Everything else is just icing on the cake. With that being said, I do believe that these are good products and I have achieved really nice results using them...BUT, I also had a nice lawn before YM every called! In a traditional year where I'm buying my own lawn products, I would never buy more than a couple bags of different fertilizers. Especially for a lawn my size.
Brother your lawn looks so good. Mine is coming really nice after following the advice of scrapping and cutting it 2inch twice a week. Huge improvement. I wish I could send you a few pics. What you recommend to keep ants building mounts?
I would love to see them! You can send some to my Instagram or rhett@lawninsider.com. I’ve already applied my Bifen IT for the spring, but if you want to pick something up from the store I’ve had success with the Spectracide Triazicide product. They (Spectracide) also makes a product specifically for ants as well.
That would definitely make things more difficult! Bermuda doesn't stripe too well as is haha but having a mower that weighs over 2000 lbs definitely helps.
Nice stuff! When you are supplementing with the foliar applications are you using a lesser rate? I assume you are still doing the .5 lbs per 1K every few weeks with the granular?
Yes sir I’m spoon feeding the liquids as well. Only putting down 2 oz per 1000 for all of them. (GreenePunch calls for 12-18 oz every 4-8 weeks). The total N per 1000 I’m putting down with my liquid app is like .041 lbs. Really tiny.
Just to clarify. I have the TM backpack sprayer. How many different items can i mix in the sprayer at one time. Would you please breakdown what yiu recommend fir spring then summer then fall. I do use YM granulated products. Flagship in late April. Double Dark in late may. Stress blend second week of June. Then probably a second hit of stress blend second week of July? I definitely want to compliment this granule program with the liquids you are showing. I just need some guidance. Much appreciated.
this still confuses me, but do you not have to get the MicroGreene into the soil? I just did an app and watered in and really didn’t see the results from the iron as it didn’t sit on the leaf blade. I wasn’t really prioritizing the green up from the iron cause I applied some Flagship But I’m just wondering if the other micronutrients need to get down in the soil? If you watch the “double dark” videos where ppl apply the greene effect with it in same tank, they’ll let it sit on leaf blade for 30ish minutes but then water in. Let me know your thoughts.
They don't answer that question directly on the label. You're right that most of the people that use it online seem to water it in. My go to on foliar products is to apply when the lawn is slightly damp, let it sit for at least 12-24 hours, and water it in afterwards. Idk if there's even really any science behind that approach or not, but it seems to me that that's how I've gotten the best color response.
I thought microgreen had to be watered in but now looking at my bottle it doesn't talk about watering in like the other N-EXT products like humic/RGS etc.
I know the LCN recommends watering it in, but he’s not applying with a backpack sprayer. Also, I’m only applying at 2oz per 1000 as opposed to 12oz per 1000, so I’m sure that makes a big difference.
Assuming your sod is established at this point, you shouldn’t have any problems. Next time you’re out in your lawn, just try to pull up on the sod, and if it’s tacked down you should be able to use basically any product you want.. wouldn’t go too crazy with herbicides.
@@sophearlov8014 rain next week won’t hurt anything. You basically just want a full day of no water after the foliar app (but even then you would be fine after just several hours).
I still have some Root Ruckus, but it’s a lot like the RGS product. Yard Mastery sent me their products first and I didn’t want to get two products that would essentially do the same thing. Root Ruckus is still a good product! If you have it, you definitely don’t need to go and get the RGS. I’ll probably use it on my flower beds and around the trees now.
