Yes, incredibly sad to lose a child that way. I hope she can stay strong, i think the pain never goes away, no matter how long it is since you lost that person, that pain is always with you.
Just saw movie & was afraid it would be overblown by Baz but it was exciting & tender at same time! Only close family & fans knew what the colonel was up to so it did make me cry at the end! Great job by Austin, he deserves an award🥰
They were a dream team. Needed each other as much as Elvis had talented without business mind Cournal Elvis would not have made it to the top & left a legacy that will never die 😉 they needed each other
@@patriciaoreilly8907 it seems to be true he overworked Elvis while in Vegas, as after his death, the colonel was sued to reimburse the estate so all would not agree with you!!
You’re so rude, Judith. They’re Elvis’ family. And everybody’s a star, fruitcake. If you didn’t get hip with Sly Stone, consider this your last chance.
Wonderful ! Elvis lives on in our hearts & minds. His kindness & generosity touched the lives of millions. His music & films united peoples across the globe. A great honour for the King & the Presley family. Great to see Austin Butler& Jerry Schilling there.
The movie was great and Austin was wonderful!!. He is a very talented young man and you can see he really took his career .and acting very serious. His personality is a lot like Elvis. Elvis would be proud, but, I think Linda Thompson deserved some credit. She saved him a Few times and she took very good care of him!! Give credit where credit is due. Now the last beautiful young lady seemed to have been good to Elvis too, Ann Margaret loved Elvis as well aside from all of that the movie was great. Some parts went very fast. I will love Elvis forever! Elvis was a beautiful and sensitive ,compassionate, young man. Elvis had a wonderful heart he was one of a kind. There will never be another Elvis. Thanks to Priscilla for keeping Elvis alive for all his fans. Never forget you Elvis!!!!!
I think they wanted to focus on his time with just the family members and not the women who came after....I know for a fact that Ann Margaret would NOT have wanted to be in the movie. It's no secret how close he and Linda were, but then they would have had to include the "ending " of his life in the movie if they continued with Linda...
The fact that Priscilla has never just stepped aside so Lisa could take the full reins of her fathers legacy is very telling. This woman went on to live a whole other life and had a whole other family yet NEVER gave up the Presley name and for 50 years, has lived her life as a virtual widow after her 4 year marriage ended in divorce. Her actions speak volumes about her.
She was with another man for 20yrs and has a SON & never gave up the Presley name. She was really only with Elvis 68 & 69. Mid 69- 73 Elvis was dating Joyce Bova & July 73-Dec 76 Linda Thompson ... Then 62-67 Ann Margaret was his love. 58-62 Anita Wood. Priscilla maybe got Elvis solo for one year. 😳🥴 They wrote Ben's name, but no one wrote Elvis'?
@@kelliintexas3575 Priscilla lived at Graceland from about 1963 onward until her marriage in 19 67 so they were together for a long time! In pictures he was happiest when he was with her
@@eileenhamilton3800 he had her around when he wanted her around...he toured and for most of the time she was with other family at Graceland...yes at first she went with him but the consistency of them being together seems to be years but in actuality it wasn't that much...Elvis had affairs and she had affairs...the man was brilliant but marriage ... not sure he was cut out for it...Priscilla did not take the Presley name back until after Vernon's death...she has lived a whole life separate from the King which produced a son...but she is a business person and he is very marketable. Priscilla is to be praised for her business savvy but I think and appreciate when she acknowledges his affairs and can now laugh about it. Linda Thompson was with Elvis for a long time..day in and day out...life did not end for him with the divorce..but the financial impact affected his life and his not wanting to marry again 😔 ..Priscilla took him back to court in CA and got an additional 2 million ...the rest is history and speculation
@@babasheeny3634 I thought the whole thing looked forced and cringe worthy. Last I knew it was upwards of $40,000 to buy a handprint. I have no doubt that costs were covered by Baz's production company.
I'm happy that they had the opportunity to do this. It was overdue. Yes, they are the Presley women and girls and they are beautiful! Yes, Elvis's genes are strong, and if Lisa Presley is having another baby it's going to be just as beautiful. I wish the best for all of them now and in the future. I love the Presley family.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
@@kclombard7956 Lol. So by your definition, how is Finley is ‘Presley’? And Harper, how is she a ‘Presley’? They both signed as Presleys. I await your answer.
@@eileenhamilton3800 No Billy Smith and family Elvis’s cousin but Presley family don’t bother with them unfortunately sad and shameful as they would have showed up when Elvis was awarded By Trump a few years ago no family member attended really sad
No offense, just curiosity: why is that entire family doing their handprints? I thought only famous people get to do them? If they are doing this in order to honor Elvis, then why isn't just one person doing it (i.e. Priscilla or Lisa - Marie)?
I liked the movie for what it was -- his relationship with the Colonel. I'm not really sure I understand why the family's prints are here especially Priscilla's. She was his ex-wife and no longer a Presley, but insists that she is. No offense ... my opinion.
@@serenitysmith352 thank you for taking the time to respond and respect what you think you know. However most of these facts are not very accurate. While it’s true she did assume the responsibility after Vernon died of Lisa’s inheritance (after all this is her daughter) she also made an income doing it while she used the Presley name. Something she was not supposed to do according to their divorce agreement. As the person responsible for Lisa’s inheritance at that time, she had some control but the person most responsible for saving Graceland was Elvis by making sure he put expert lawyers and the bank of Memphis as trustees in place to make sure Lisa’s inheritance would be safe and would be invested in the wisest way. Those trustees came up with this idea to save the assets and Priscilla went along with the idea. Nothing happened without their approval. But it is your right to believe what you want. I respect that, just as long as u understand other views and why it all makes no sense that her hands would be memorialized in cement.
Hummm, the amount of money she’s put in that face, and what all she did to it is crazy,,, at least it’s looking better than the last surgeries she had and it messed her up.
We sure know his dark side. He was a ladies man and a little too nice for his own good. And practically the whole world already knows his private life since it has been shared a thousand times. Priscilla’s dark side is the one not many people know about.
Can you blame her? Losing her dad and able to remember that day and then losing her son to suicide? Poor ben was an exact replica of his grandfather and couldn’t handle the comparisons all the time

Priscilla was not the love of his life. Ann Margaret was. Priscilla divorced him. What has she done to be honored in this way. What about all the other exwives and children of real actors not given this honor?
Did not like the movie. Did not show the fun, happy and generous elvis. I wanted the detail life story not the manager story. Very depressing gloomy movie.
@@davidfranson5940 I think what he means is the new generation of kids today might not know of Elvis's legacy. It wouldn't surprise me either, sadly enough.
