Hello, Good information. For the service box, was this issue only affecting the RS3 DQ500 or do you know if it also affects gearboxes such as the OBH DQ500 from a Tiguan? Thanks
It affects every transfer box on all 4wd dq500 based cars. The bigger the power, the higher the chance of failure. We recommend servicing them as per the video guidelines.
Yeah the daza transfer box can be serviced, the service procedure is the same as the 8Y box. We will make a video on how to service your rs3 correctly in the short future.
I’ve always heard of the changes but on the differences which is better? Are the DNWA changes all better? I know newer isn’t always better but 9 times out of ten on a modern engines newer normally means visions and higher strength or better operation is this the case? Can you visually see why it would be better? The obvious things on the DAZA vs DNWA is a given like of course we know the whole OPF thing is less restriction blah blah blah but from what I’ve seen the DNWA other than that seems better? Yes or no?
DNWA have a different exhaust camshaft which allows the turbo to spool up faster. At the cost of lower detonation protection uptop. So this makes it more sensitive to high cylinder pressure from detonating. They did this for emissions and to meet WLTP emissions standards. They even added a variable oil pressure switch to drop the oil pressure when the engine is below a certain rpm, again, for emissions.
I just got the new audi rs3 sportback 8Y. If the motor block is the same , why the sound of exaust is so different, I am very disappointed with the motor sound , is so bad ... 8v had much better sound and pops and bangs , the new one is very frustrating sound, do you guy's agree with me? Need 2010 Audi A5 CONVERTIBLE quattro engine! First motor didn't even work, second bad motor leaking oil from timing chain cover and rear main seal, 3rd engine failed- cylinder 3 taking on oil SMFH, I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING LIKE U GUYS, YOUR KNOWLEDGE IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL 🙏👍
If DNWA is equal to DWNC then why the difference in power? DNWA from the factory came out with a power of about 380hp, and DNWC even 420hp. Is it only a matter of software?
